No, this is my primary Logos computer. But I normally have wifi ability when I use it. I hadn't even considered trying to open Logos without internet access before I left home. Now, I know to run some tests before my upcoming Guatemala trip.
If you don't have an active internet connection, you can boot Logos and it will simply work without having to be online. You won't be able to sync (settings and such) to the cloud, and you won't be able to download new books or do cloud searches, but most of the program should still work.
I left that implied rather than explicit because of recent outages of 30+ hours (twice) and 9+ hours (twice), I found that Verbum adjusted more to the presence/absence of the internet without action on my part. I thought this reflected Joe McCune's post, although I may be incorrect. I do not know the rules regarding when it puts itself in offline mode vs. when I must explicitly tell it to run in offline mode.
to fill in details of what im doing is that i currently have logos 8 installed. i purchased logos 9 when released last year but dont have room on my C drive to install it. now i purchased new E drive with 1tb and wish to install logos 9 there. next is that im using wireless internet with 20gb max per month so if i were to install and download resources again it would take 3 months but i would not be able to do anything else like check emails or anything. then i found the wiki instructions which advised me that i could use my existing resources in the new install without re-downloading them.

After reading this I decided to look at my "NICs". I put this in quotes because like many I am running virtual nics for devices like Hamachi and Virtual Box. After I disabled Hamachi I am able to use the internet. My guess is that the emulator picks the first available nic regardless of whether it is virtual. Now to find out if I can rearrange my nic order without tearing my box down.

While the relatively low price for this tablet has to be a consideration, there are a few things that need to be improved. The touch screen is not as responsive as I would like, and the screen is not as bright as I would like, even at its brightest setting. The built-in speaker is not very loud but it is usable. The instructions also need to include more information on the tablet. I could not find any information on the micro SD card slot and what it could be used for, or not used for. Both Bluetooth and wifi are unavailable on the Azpen, so there is no built-in convenience for using Bluetooth earbuds or headsets, and there is no way to use it to connect to the internet to research something that you are reading in the text of the bible.
I am in Nigeria and I just paid for the Azpen e-bible over a month ago and had it brought to me.
My discovery : It is so sad it has no Night Mode or Low light. The screen is too bright for me with the white background even at the lowest brightness. Whereas I can read on my phone with low light conveniently. It is unbelievable that such could be missing. This makes using it hard for me as the brightness gives me headache.
