Learn how to create your own accessible content material using the
Intel Reader to convert print materials to computer text and/or
auditory files for transfer to the ClassMate Reader. These devices can
offer access to text for individuals who struggle with print such as
those with learning disabilities or visual impairments.

The Intel Reader gives people convenient and flexible access to
a
variety of printed materials. The Intel Reader is easy to use. Simply
point, shoot and listen to printed text such as schoolwork, printed
work documents, magazines, mail, cookbooks and more. Easy-to-locate
buttons, audio and visual navigation, and straightforward menus make
it easy to locate the functions users need. Point-shoot-listen mode
enables reading in a variety of locations, from work and school to
shopping or travel, making it easy to read signs, product labels,
concert programs, guidebooks and other text on the go, and the
earphones allow private listening, clearly and discretely, without
disturbing others.

The ClassMate Reader reads aloud and simultaneously displays and
highlights text on its full color screen. Its simple, flexible
interface can be configured to the user's specific needs. It also
includes helpful study tools to enhance learning such as bookmarks,
voice recording, highlighting function and a speaking dictionary. With
built-in text-to-speech, it works with e-text or NIMAS files.
