Hi Everyone,

I was saddened by the fact that the Etsy for Charity shop is no longer
active. Can anyone tell me how this works now? I would like to post
items with 100% of the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
I have one active listing in my etsy store now but would love it if
more people joined the cause. Here is a link to my listing.

Please let me know if you know of any other Etsy for Charity shops on
the website. I think it is an absolutely great idea. I have already
contacted the American Cancer Society directly but there is SO much
red tape to go through in order to DONATE jewelry for them to sell on
there site... NO STRINGS ATTACHED on my end.

Thanks for taking the time to care!!!

Hi!

Yeah, too bad this group is not active anymore... but I still try to tag all of my items with the etsyforcharity.  I don't know about other shops but I donate 50% of what people pay to charity.

Hi,

Have you tried Etsy Project Embrace?  They're a great group of people, and you can donate to the American Cancer Society.  Check out their team page: http://team.etsy.com/viewteam.php?id=685

If anyone is interested in taking over EFC and re-opening a team store
or organizing the team without the team store, everyone would love
it. Richard couldn't do it anymore but no one stepped forward when he
asked for a replacement. Maybe if there are any new members who are
interested, you could contact him about a transition.

I still tag my items etsyforcharity and donate 10% of my sales to the
american cancer society.

Hi Sue,

I did locate the Project Embrace group late yesterday afternoon. I am
impatiently awaiting a reply. I think it is such a wonderful thing to
give back!!!

Thanks for the info!

Hi Shari,

Thanks for the explanation.

Hi all,

So sorry that I do not have the time to follow up with EFC Team. I
have been busy with my work and my kids these days. I even don't have
much time or energy left to make my cards. :)

If there is anyone who is interested to be the leader of the EFC Team,
please let me know. There is a EFC Blog which you can continue to work
on it.

We have stop the EFC Team store due to the lack of sales from the
store which makes it not viable to carry on. Another reason is to
avoid facing any trouble with the tax issues.

Please email me at richar...@gmail.com if you would like to become
the leader of EFC Team and I will try my best to let you know what are
the basic duties.

Thanks.

Richard
