This is a MUST READ and a very inspirational / encouraging Request:

We were approached by MiJan (Etsian) who is leading a project sometime
in April of next year to support them in a Fundraising Event that will
be held in San Francisco !!! :) As of right now it looks as though we
can either share a small % of our sales or items that we would like to
donate - I personally choose the latter.
I do not have the full logistics as of yet, but PRIOR to accepting her
proposal I WANT YOUR VOTE ON THIS.
I would LOVE to get at least from 25% - or at least 5-8 bebot 'indie
maarte' of your vote.
I can see this being a great opportunity - esp for us PINAYS artists -
and YOU know how HUGE the filipino community is out there. Let's
Represent !!

REQUEST#!
Greetings Bebot Squad:

I hope this message finds you well. This past week I had the pleasure
to email with Danielle (teams@etsy) about the possibility of
philanthropically minded Etsy Teams making a donation to our project.
A couple of crafty artisans in our own adviser group thought it wise
to garner Team support via women-oriented holiday sales (5 - 15% of
Valentine's/V Day and Mother's Day sales), and/or in-kind donations
towards the Project amplifyHERvoice Annual Fundraiser (April 25,
2009). Should either of these venues for donation seem viable for
members of Bebot Squad, please reply to this message so that we can
send you additional background, event and collaboration details.

Best Regards,
Mi'Jan Wilder

REQUEST#2

Hi There,
First off: thanks for the reply. While we are requesting a donation of
partial proceeds from sales (during V-Day and/or Mother's Day) from
your team, we also want to dialogue about an in-kind donation for our
April 25th event. Perhaps two or more Etsy Teams can band together for
maximum contribution, that's manageable for everyone involved?

So for starters, here is a breakdown of the formal request...if you
need any additional information for your group, please do not hesitate
to reply to this message.
Have a great day,
Mi'Jan

Our San Francisco fundraiser event is three fold: a) film wardrobe
silent auction, b) myriad of different 'shops' - donated women's
apparel and accessories, encompassing 7-15 unique items per donor
'shop', and c) Lunafest women's film festival http://www.lunafest.org/lunafest-story.cfm

It is going to be a fabulous day (and yes, we will need a very, very,
very long nap the day after)!

We are keen to include your team in our event and print + media
publicity, most specifically outstanding designers who share our
dedication for philanthropy and women's issues. Our goal across the
board is for women to support women. Self sufficiency, social justice
and artists + artisans banning together, in particular.

I sincerely hope you feel led to collaborate with us and further our
work and mission. Please let us know if you are ready to read more
information about our project (principals, founder, advisers,
participants etc) and discuss the logistics of donating items from
your team store.

Thank you for taking the time to review our message, and I look
forward to your team's reply in the coming days.

Best Regards,
Mi'Jan Wilder
