As you might have heard, Etsy is working on Open API v3! The API is currently in an experimental phase, and we’d like your help validating feature and functionality requirements. You now have the opportunity to preview endpoints, read our new documentation, and provide feedback that will help shape your Etsy Open API experience. As always, your use of the API, and your feedback, are subject to the API Terms of Use and Etsy’s general Terms of Use.
There are two ways you can get started. First, you can explore the new endpoints on our
reference documentation site. There will be a link under each endpoint that says “leave feedback here”, which will direct you to GitHub where you can leave your feedback as an issue. We've also left some questions that we're curious about in the "Issues" tab in GitHub that we'd love your feedback on.
You can also learn more about our approach to building Open API v3 by reading our
migration guide. It covers our timeline, provides a high-level summary of what’s changing, and lists the resources and endpoints that are being deprecated.
We’re especially interested in getting your feedback on the following:
- Documentation: Is our documentation easy to read and understand?
- Endpoints: Does the V3 API include the endpoints you need?
- Migration guide: Does it contain the information you need to migrate to V3 API?
We’re so excited to get your feedback and look forward to digging through your comments on
Github!
Thanks!
