Dear ETS Users,

We are very excited to announce the releases of Enable 5.2.0 and Chaco 5.0.0. These releases can be found on Github, PyPI, and are also available to EDM users via the Enthought Deployment Server. Documentation: enable and chaco.

The chaco release is a major release including a significant amount of codebase maintenance and clean up. Of particular note is that many previously deprecated / unused objects have been removed (see the release note linked below for the full list). This release also drops support for Python < 3.6. If you aren’t doing so already, please update your imports to use ``chaco.api`` as there was a significant reorganization of the package internals. Additionally, there has been a major update to the documentation, numerous bugfixes, and some new features. Most of you should not have trouble updating to Chaco 5.0.0 but for those of you that do, please refer to the full changelog to see what has changed.

The enable minor version release was made to accompany the chaco release. It also includes some removals of deprecated code, refactoring, documentation improvements and bugfixes. Note that chaco 5.0.0 requires enable 5.2.0, so when upgrading please do so together.

Many thanks to all those who contributed to the releases:
