conda build of Chaco 5.0.0 failing, due to unresolved version.

I'm trying to conda build Chaco 5.0.0 and getting this:

RuntimeError: Unable to determine package version. No local Git clone detected, and no version file found at C:\Users\capnf\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-req-build-825e1krg\chaco\_version.py.

Just wondering if it's obvious to anyone what I need to do to get unstuck.
