Update Week 9

As Salam / Hye guys..

For week 9, ok lets divide our group into 2 team:

1) Team 1 : Hadi, Hakim & Ahmed = in-charge of technical part, boats, assembly, arrangement of the equipment on the platform, motor, power,(all calculation, simulation 3D, cross section, orthogonal look, and etc should be perform, and clear.

2) Team 2 : NAzrin & Stephen : work on the layer of the oil absorbent material, using carbon nanotube embedded wiith cotton, chitosan &  coconut fibre.. (all simulation, mathematics, how to deisgn layer, the thickness and etc should be perform.

This is what Dr Ny want.. about Carbon nanotubes embedded with cotton (CNT) she already ask her friend in ca,bridge and we can achieve it. She is very enthusistic about CNT in our prject.

The heart of our prject is the drum & its layer with CNT. the rest (engineering part) we can do it .....We should allocate and concntrate a lot on this project from NOW.

Team 1 : 

-arrngement of the equipment on board, plan, layout, electronics, and etc.

the design and all related to boat, all calculation of the buoyancy of the boat, how much it floats, the load it can support, the velocity of the boats, and in the dense water (with oil).

Team 2:

- build the layer of absorbent.. need to consult and deal with dr  NY.

I will explain the details of this in next meeting. 

Next meeting : 23 July 2013 (Tuesday)  @ 9 pm.. V5 cafe maybe..anything just inform me

noted. owh, and forgot to sms u. the form3 already sent that day. Claim about Rm199. the lab executive(EE) ask me a lot about the coconut husk stuff, why so expensive.. ha3.

the end cap is ready.ill collect it this thursday. thus, for Technical teeam, please revise back the design, how to rotate the drum using rod, chain, poower/ motor & etc.... juz plan..dont wait till everything in front. whtver u dun have, tell me, ill straight away ask Dr Ny. we also will get permission into the nano tube lab to do some nano tube work.. Her PHD studnt will help us..Tecnical team concentrate on the design boat, system, control, electronic, power, layout, plan 3D, 2D and so on..

i finished the wiring part.. it went well.. but the platform is bendable.. we need something as a frame.. so tomorrow we need to got to pasir puteh again as discussed with me and hadi.. because the scrap metal inside the lab cannot find suitable one..

So tmr will be meeting Dr Hasan at 9am to discuss with him and get carbon nanotubes from him.
Then the plan now is to embed the CNT into polypropylene. Will be going to the lab at 4pm, already contacted Prof Noorhana's student at the lab.
