Hello TCBC, ECA and PHP 4 Climate Action Groups,

I haven't connected with some of you for a while, I hope you had a pleasant summer and that you were able to find a quieter place to rest and recharge. I've been busy on the noise front and would like to update you on two things:

Green Party "Strengthening Noise Emission Regulations" Policy
I have now become an official member of the Green Party and today they voted to adopt a policy I presented on reducing noise which will become part of their platform. I've never been to a political function before so to be there to present like this was pretty cool. It will be interesting to see where this leads, in the new year when I pick this up. There is LOTS of support for excessive noise reduction across the province. I will share details of the policy in an upcoming newsletter.

City of Toronto's Implementation Review of the Noise Bylaw
This is underway with the public consultations, wrapping up last week. You can submit your feedback to the city via emailing mlsfe...@toronto.ca until October 15th. Here is a link to a reference sheet summarizing the potential refinements they are proposing.

As many people couldn't attend some or all of the sessions, No More Noise Toronto is partnering with the Toronto Noise Coalition to get as many people informed about these changes. We have 5 follow up sessions from September 26 to 30, please check out the Creating Better Cities by Reducing Noise events on Eventbrite and sign up for one or more.

Please click here to subscribe to my newsletter until the end of this year, when the bylaw review is completed. During this critical time you can stay up to date so you can help make Toronto a more healthy, inclusive, safe and social city. If you are already a subscriber, thank you.

Lastly, I don't want to be "noise" in your inbox. Please reply if you don't want to receive any more emails from me about noise and I will honour that request.

Thank you,

Ingrid
