Develop and execute test cases targeting the security aspects of our product and their interactions with the embedded components. This includes the hardening of our software as well as making sure the functionality of the product does not get altered with the implementation of these security features. Responsibilities: As a Test Engineer, you will work with the development and automation teams to define, develop, and execute test cases that will allow us to perform validation targeting the hardening of our software and its components. This will include testing Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux) changes that provide a mechanism for supporting access control security policies. Ensure the overall software functionality remains intact with the implementation of security features. Engage in exploratory testing targeted at trying to hack into the code. Analyze various components of the client's systems, collaborate with various development teams, and use your technical expertise to debug or provide circumstances needed to triage and resolve issues.
Qualifications: 4+ years of experience as a Software / Test Engineer with hands-on experience in the development and test of security functionality Knowledgeable on Linux OS; middleware, kernel, and device drivers Excellent understanding of all test fundamentals and the associated use of test management and defect tracking tools is a must Hands-on e Excellent understanding of all test fundamentals and the associated use of test management and defect tracking tools is a must Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing of embedded devices is a must Good understanding of hardware/software interoperability in an embedded system Expertise with one or more programming languages, such as C, C++, C# Scripting knowledge of Python, PowerShell and Shell scripting is desirable Good troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues Good analytical and problem-solving skills Excel in a fast-paced, agile environment supporting multiple projects using a wide variety of technologies Excellent oral and written communication with effective presentation skills including possessing a dynamic and “can do” attitude
Education: BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering is preferred
