                    Subject: Flaura & Fauna of Uttarakhand.
 

                    During our stay at Chaukoti Uttarakhand, for the breakfast & dinner, a small resort near was earmarked. It has a excellent canteen related infrastructure, but I recollect the resort for it's excellent garden upkeep. I am forwarding some of the snaps I have taken of the garden around.
 

 

 

                    Uttarakhand tourism, has also arranged to display the local products for the sales promotion and I purchased the following items.

                    01) Burhans flower juice bottle.
                    02) Malta juice bottle.
                    03) Lemon pickle.

                    April & May is the season for the Burhans & Malta, and the former is a state flower of the Uttarakhand. But amongst the above, what I liked the most is the pickle. A half a kg bottle was costing Rs.80 only against Rs.75 for the 250 gram bottle in Nashik, and the pickle was Fssai license approved. That means, the product was available at half the cost.

                    Pickle taste was little different but that can be managed by the control of the ingredients to suit our taste, but the lemon itself was very soft in contrast to the lemon available with the local pickle.

                    Every state in the country has exclusive thing's to offer, but for that, we have to keep our mind and eye's open and hunt for them.
