Free Minds, Free PeopleDear Curtis,
Information about accommodations options for Free Minds, Free People is now available.Chicago accommodations are very expensive the weekend of July 11 to 14 due to a variety of events taking place at that time. We have reserved rooms at a hostel, hotel and soon a university dorm to provide a range of options. Some have to be booked through the conference registration page; some have to be booked directly with the facility (if you are booking directly with the facility, just check “I do not need accommodations” on the conference registration form Lodging and Travel page). We have also listed on our website some recommended alternative places to stay where we did not reserve a block of rooms. For information on all these options, please visit www.fmfp.org/accommodations. We strongly suggest that you reserve a bed or room as soon as possible.
If you are planning to find your own accommodations, please note that the conference venue is near the Wilson Avenue stop on the Red Line. We recommend choosing a neighborhood near the Red Line. However, all South Side Red Line stations from Cermak-Chinatown to 95th/Dan Ryan will be closed for repair during the conference.
We look forward to seeing you in Chicago.
