I congratulate Rep. Haley on winning the Republican nomination for
governor in tonight's runoff. I look forward to a robust debate on the
issues about the future of our state during the general election season.
This is not going to be an easy campaign. Rep. Haley has had the benefit
of national media attention and support from Washington, DC elites over
the past few weeks. That level of national attention is likely to
increase over the coming months given the support of Sarah Palin, Mitt
Romney, and other national figures. It is crucial that we buckle down,
focus, fundraise, and organize in South Carolina during the coming
months. We MUST win in November, but we have so much work to do before
then. Let's get started! I'd appreciate it if folks would contribute
tonight. Thanks to everyone for your support.
