Dear Misrak and all
Thank you for your new year messages it is much appreciated. Let me also wish you all a very happy new year. I have been ill very ill for over 3 months and I am on my way to recovery thanks to God.

I was in addis about a month ago and met physically with Abiyu and it was so nice to catch up and network.
This happened because of this organization  which I am thankful for.
I also met with the the Road fund officials as we had met in Abidjan last year on the armfa meeting. They suggested that I do some radio interviews and newspapers about Road asset management system which I did gratefully.

It hurts me when I see so called foreign companies doing consultancy in Ethiopia and In Africa while we Africans and Ethiopians have already the know how. Then they bring people say from Tanzania whom we know, who are doing training in ethiopia etc while we as Ethiopians are not yet given the chance to share our experience and even do work in ethiopia! It just breaks my heart. Hence I see this association really helping us to reach out and also officials in ethiopia need to start using our expertise because we love our country and we will serve it!

I was interviewed on two radio programs about road management as well as my passion for engineering councils associations and empowerment of women in the field of engineering.

It was really a blessing an an honour for me to share that! The support of some people in decision making positions in raid fund maintenance in Ethiopia is so essential and this cooperation  needs to continue, that is the only way Ethiopia will grow.

I have been instrumental with the development of a very good Road Management System in Namibia and over 27 years of experience cannot just be wasted it is time to plough back to our county.

Abiuye is an expert in ITS why not use him in Ethiopia; and his commitment is so inspirational to me. He has started to do some consultancy which is good! And has been instrumental for the formation of ITS Ethiopia.

We are in the UN we are in the DOTs and Road authorities and in the private sector all over the world, it is time Ethiopia uses our skills, and I hope we would be given the opportunity and we all help each other to soar and share our knowledge and experience.

Good morning/evening everyone,

Thank you Misrak and all for new year wishes filled with inspiration. Sofie I am glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. Nice pictures and nice to see Abiyu ( looking good). Well Sofie we will offer our expertise and try and that is all we can do. From what I have seen it is working even though it is slower than we would like to see but there is progress in my opinion.

Dear Samson, Sophie, Misrak and all!

Happy New Year to all of you!
I wish you all and our people & motherland, Ethiopia the best in everything, peace, growth, progress and unity in the New Year & beyond!

I was very happy to meet both Samson and Sophie in Addis. It is a rare opportunity to meet especially in Addis and share experiences, aspirations and commitment to help our country w/ friends and colleagues who share your dreams & vision.

With Samson, we had a chance to recall & celebrate our 10th year anniversary of the start of the Ethiopian Millennium, since he and I with our few friends, organized a very successful Video Conference connecting the Ethiopian IT experts, professionals managers and policy makers between US & Ethiopia (the 1st of its kind) and express our vision, commitment and best wishes to advance Knowledge & Technology Transfer to our motherland, Ethiopia! Time flies, it is already 10 years!

Sammy, my dear brother, thank you so much for the great picture! Thanks to your generous invitation to AAIT, we had such a marvelous discussion with the graduate students on Project Management Principles & Best Practices.

Subsequently to that session w/ you; I was graciously invited by AAIT professors to conduct an ITS Seminar for graduate students & invited guests. The seminar was extremely successful. The enthusiastic audience, the lively discussions and the great interest in ITS applications for our country were truly memorable to me and greatly inspiring! Thank you my friend, for opening the door for me!

Dear Sophie:
I would also like to thank you so much for the great meeting I had w/ you! It was such a pleasure to share our experiences, expertise and most of all our aspirations, commitment and best wishes to help our motherland, Ethiopia!
(By the way, thank you too for the great & memorable picture!)
I hope you are feeling much better now w/ your health! When I met you I was genuinely impressed by your vigor, enthusiasm and high energy to contribute w/ your rich experiences in Asset Management in particular and make a positive impact and difference in our motherland, Ethiopia!
Keep up the high spirit, sister!
However many challenges, we may face, we should keep up our optimism and strength to help our motherland, since the time is now!

PS. I know my dear sister, Misrak and my dear colleagues in EEO Board are working hard and do their best to sustain and grow our EEO so we can all contribute our share to advance Knowledge & Technology Transfer to our motherland, Ethiopia! I urge all to keep up our hard work! I feel optimistic and hopeful we will advance our EEO's vision and goals in the New Year & beyond if we continue to work hard in a Team Spirit!

Together, we will get there!

All the Best for our EEO and our motherland, Ethiopia and all of us in the New Year!
Cheers to all!
Abiyu
