Dear friends,

Carrie and I have been talking about our role as leaders of the fellowship group and feel that it is time for some changes.  We started this group three years ago when it was just the two of us with time on our hands.  Now that we have Charlotte and a house remodel project, it is hard for us to find time to properly prepare for the weekly sessions.  Also, you may have noticed, but we are a bit distracted during the weekly meetings chasing our girl around and dealing with bedtime.  Ultimately, we think the quality of the group has suffered as a result of this.

While we very much enjoy the group, after this season/semester ends, we think its time to let others take the lead.  We are open to continue hosting at our house if someone (or several people) are willing to be responsible for facilitating the discussions, organizing social events and taking on the food/beverages duties.   Alternatively, if someone has always wanted to host, the group can certainly change both venues and leaders.   We are also open to other ideas from the group members.  We value your feedback.   Finally, if this is not the direction you were hoping for the group or if nobody is interested in taking over the leadership role, then of course we would not be offended if people joined other groups.
We can talk about all of this next Wednesday, but wanted to share our thoughts and get people thinking about what they want to do next.

Thanks,

John & Carrie.
