Multiple Pad Changes

It was recommended that I ask a network administrator to have
*.etherpad.website point to etherpad.website or website:9000. Are
there any changes I should make to the EtherPad source code so unique
values for * create different pads and those pads work?

What are you hoping to achieve?
You need that for the pro pads.
You could alternatively use port 80 by tweaking your configuration settings.
