ETF BAFA
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
ETF Belgrade Alumni and Friends Association (ETF BAFA) is a California Public Benefit Corporation (Federal EIN: 68–0474883; California Entity ID: 2339854), which is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of the Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. ETF BAFA was established in 2001.
As a non-profit organization, ETF BAFA funds its charitable and educational activities through the membership fees and donation from its members. All collected funds (100%) go to the charitable and educational activities, and the members of the ETF BAFA Board of Directors volunteer their time.
Every year ETF BAFA awards 3 best Graduation/Master theses of students from the University of Belgrade School of Electrical Engineering (https://www.etf.bg.ac.rs/). In addition, ETF BAFA awards several stipends to the best students from the same School. The awards and stipends are given to the students at the traditional ETF Alumni Dance Party (ETF Bal), which is held every year at the end of December. ETF BAFA also participates in a list of humanitarian and educational activities, including for example $10,000 donation to the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade (Математичка гимназија, https://www.mg.edu.rs/sr) for computing laboratory, or more than $15,000 for the flood relief in Serbia through the Novak Djokovic Foundation.
