БАС (BAY AREA SERBS) AND SAFKOS ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE:
SERBIAN DREAMER, AMERICAN SCIENTIST
A panel discussion in English about the life of one of the greatest Serbian-American scientists
on March 6th with a start at 11.a.m. (Pacific Standard Time).
Aleksandra Ninković Tasić (Serbia) Author of many books on Mihajlo Pupin and Nikola Tesla, founder of the first Pupin Virtual Museum with the largest Pupin-related archive, which Aleksandra collected over the previous decade, having dedicated her life to learning about Pupin, will tell us about never giving up on our dreams and love.
We will also have a special chance to learn more about Pupin’s work and patents from Dr. Jasmina Vujić, UC Berkeley Professor, who herself walked in the same steps as Pupin, having gone from Serbia to America. Then we will hear little about Pupin's life in Norfolk, VA from Mr. Barry Webber, Director of the Norfolk Historical Society.
The symposium is being held as a fundraiser for the Stevan Hristic Music School in Gnjilane in Kosovo and Metohija, Serbia.
