M1 Compatibility

I'm just wondering if ete is compatible with the M1 chip as the anaconda site for ete_toolchain states that it only supports linux64 and osx64.

Hi,

I am also having an issue installing ete_toolchain with anaconda with an M2 chip.

Are there any suggestions for this? Has anyone been able to install it with the M1/M2 chip?

Hi Brittany,

ete_toolchain is actually to install every single tool in https://anaconda.org/etetoolkit/repo, it will stop as long as a single tool failed during installation. Would you like to try to install the tools you need individually in the repo as a walkaround solution? If there is single tool failed to install, please let us know the errors so we can test it. We are looking into it as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I didn't realize the basic ete3 tools work without the need to install ete-toolchain. So it works for me now. Thanks!!
