Who are you?

Where did you find this group?

What was your username where you did find this group?

What made you decide to join?

Do you plan on developing, testing, learning, hacking the firmware, or
are you just interested in the project in general?

I'm Disturbed from the Eternity forums. I found this while browsing
through all of the stuff you've found (Awesome work, by the way). I
wanted to join in order to offer any of the help I can possibly give.
I've got an able phone for testing your releases, and I'm stuck with
it for another year. I'm extremely interested in getting Android on
the Eternity, and I'm also learning a lot.

Good to know. I'd avoid the early stages of testing though, They may
perma-brick your phone if you don't have a JTAG connection to the
phone. (Which very few, if any people do.)

I am trying to make some safe tools though, Such as ones to modify the
resource files.

I'm Ian426 from over at the ol' Eternity forums (found it there). I
really want to help actively with development for the phone (I want
the bloody email that they half-cheated us of, if anything. Android
would be a plus, of course, but some Chinese/US hybrid would be
great).

As I said over at the eternity forum, I've tried a little bit of
hacking with the rc1 file before, but that was simply following a
click sheet (and being very happy that I took French the last handful
of years, since a chunk of the sheet was in French), so I know a bit
about the structure of the files, but I got nowhere (a broken currency
converter??). Anyhow, I'd love to learn to do more actively.

I have C++ experience, so I can probably transfer that over to C#
easily enough (I can pick up the basics of languages fairly easily),
so I might be able to help out a bit on that end of things.

Good to know. Source is up on google code, I just did a commit and im
about to do another one ( I just GPLized the entire project)

That broken currency converter is actually not broken :)

Its just made for the phone.

Could you get me the byte offset that that files starts at in RC1? and
how it was split apart (if it was)? I could do some hacking on it if i
had that info. Also, Please start a new thread for that info i just
asked you for.

I would explain who i was, But i believe my username makes it obvious
enough. :P

I'm Reamer from the eternity/impression forums. I'm just here to help
skim through the firmware files to try and find anything that may help
since i have no programming under my belt. Though I would love to know
how to if I had the time. But college has taken that away from me and
I won't be able to contribute to much anymore but I still lurk in case
someone needs some testing done.

I should have some test apps for you soon! I plan on making a tool to
edit/create FactoryFS.ffs files! Stay tuned!

Hi,
I go by qual, i have very limited experience in C+, i can write some
cmd progs.
Ive used hex editors
Jason it seems like you have a real good handle on all this, just ask
if there is any thing I can do.
I'm willing to test most anything, as long as it wont cause a
permanent brick. re-flashing doesn't scare me :)

Feel free to head on over to http://code.google.com/p/samsung-firmware-tools/
Its in C# but if you have some experience in C++ you should be able to
read it.

Sounds great Jason. I can test anything you want in the little
freetime here and there and I can report back. If it permabricks my
phone then we'll know not to try that but I'll be out of the ability
to test then since I don't have an idea of who has JTAG hardware for
me to use.

Thanks. By the way, I'm not guessing you are any relation to Randy
Couture are you? Haha. I'm sure that's only the 1,000th time you have
heard that.

Wow, I'm sure you had to explain that to a lot of people while y'all
