Hi there,

so great to see that Usenet is still there!

So I registered, enabled authentication, but I still see only some and
not all newsgroups. I'm stuck here it seems
https://www.eternal-september.org/index.php?showpage=faq#RefreshGroupList

It seems like I need to "to force the news reader to get the full list
of groups again, after the authentication has been setup. The method of
doing that varies from one news reader to another."

Any ideas how I do this with Tunderbird (115.5.0) on Linux?

Thanks and cheers from Italy

Did you set the option to enforce it?
Only filling the user/pass filed doesn't enforce auth.

In the group subscription window is Refresh button on the
right side.

Yes I did.

Found it! The error was that I tried to update groups in the "new
groups" tab; instead you need to update the current groups tab in
Thunderbird.

Thank you :)
