little purple curved arrows

What do those little purple curved arrows mean? I tried figuring out
logically, but nothing seemed to fit. Thanks. I am a new user of
Thunderbird.

Purple arrows in Tb mean you replied to that message.
Blue arrows, in the opposite direction, mean you forwarded it.

Thanks so much. I looked all through the "help" but couldn't find
anything that applied to it.
