Hey, I'm "testing" an *old* news reader (OLX, from Windows XP) with USENET
(long time user) because Google Groups is *dropping* Usenet (presumably to
avoid getting their butts sued off by the E.U. every time someone points out
the difference between Freedom of Speech and *censorship* of idea in Europe)
so what I'm *actually* looking for is "alt.dreams" but it seems elusive (so
far) - I'm wondering if there is any "special" way to find an alt.newsgroup
via this particular server?

The reason I'm using my parents' old email address is because it's the only
one that still functions using XP's Outlook Express.
Working on how to "spoof" it to avoid spam crawlers.

Still working on "how to spoof" email addresses. May have to simply set up
a "dummy account" and use it to "draw flies."

Have your newsreader authenticate to E-S, so that you're allowed to see
more than the E-S hierarchy.

alt.dreams certainly exists (~40 articles upon checking today; with the
caveat that :

(a) I'm unsubscribed, and didn't look at how far back the articles go
(b) I didn't look at the number of articles killed upon opening the
group

I recommend using a current one, e.g. Claws Mail, Thunderbird, Epyrus
etc.

Naja, schon klar.

Anscheinend müssen halt Figuren die 'fill the zone with shit' mit
'Freedom of Speech' verwechseln sofort irgendwas von Zensur faseln.
