Hi guys,

before to post this request I searched on the official Eternal September
web site to understand if I should do other things after to insert
username\password and to enable SSL/TLS but I didn't find a solution
about my issue :\

Like what I wrote on the subject I can post immediately on the test
newsgroup but when I try to do it in another space like
it.comp.os.linux.iniziare I can write the message, I can see it in the
sent folder but I can't see my post uploaded on the newsgroup.

I'm an IT technician so I'm able to to everything on my system (now I'm
on Debian Bullseye+Thunderbird) but I could use also Windows system if
needed.

Regards.

It looks as though you haven't completed authentication using
Thunderbird. This is a FAQ and would have been better asked
in e-s.support, but here is the info you need:

Thanks to your quick reply! :)

I checked this:

Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings
Always request authentication when connecting to this server

Now I enabled it, I closed and re-opened Thunderbird, I tried to post on
the n.g. it.comp.os.linux.iniziare, I can see it in the sent folder but
it isn't available on the n.g. :\

I found the real solution, I had an old news server so maybe I had in
the Thunderbird cache something wrong, I removed the n.g., I subscribed
the n.g. and now I can see the first post and the second! :D

I did the same also for other n.g. when I read just old message and not
latest.

Regards.

That's very likely the cause if Thunderbird tried to carry over messages
from your old server. Article numbering will be quite different on one
server compared to another. Unsubscribing and resubscribing your groups
should have fixed things.

Yes it is, the solution was unsubscribing and resubscrubing the group! :)
