THAT JESUS DIED FOR ME
May the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Thy sight
And mirror the Image of Thy Son
Who always did the right!
Also the words that leave these lips
May they be blessed as well
To show the world there is a change
In those who are saved from hell!
A religious fanatic, as some would say
But is that really true
Though shalt love the Lord God with all your heart
With your strength and mind renewed!
Sweet the echo in the heart
That sings the song of grace
I, am saved, I’m truly saved
And long to see His Face!
So effortless, it is to serve
To tell this Word to others
For I’ve been saved and am redeemed
My sisters and my brothers!
“O happy day that fixed my choice”
Set, this sinner’s soul free
What meditation in my heart
That Jesus died for me!
