SALVATION DAWNED ON ME
That day Salvation dawned on me
I shall not soon forget
For over thirty years have passed
And I’ve not forgotten yet.
Each morning brings that memory
Praise God, “I’ve been forgiven!”
And Jesus has a plan for me
Each day is worth the living.
My life is hid with Christ in God
Encompassed with that thought
I surround myself with true resolve
What precious life I’ve got!
I’m subsequently fortified
And fit to face the day
Knowing the Lord will be with me
Whatever comes my way.
You might say, I’m on the mountaintop
Before I reach the valley
But at the closing of each day
When I take my faith-led tally
There it’s shown in memory
Of a faith filled day with Him
My Lord has won the victory
By delivering me from sin!
