First attempt was to use: ecuteAndWait amiquote\quote.exe /autoupdate /close. Looks good in the first try but has a big drawback. It uses the source which was used last manually. I did not find any possibility to specyfy this in the command line. I do make experiments with Amiquote from time to time so I can not trust this method. Maybe I am wrong and there is a possibility to set the source at command line.
This is looking good in the first place but has also a big drawback. OLE does not support autoupdate (AmiQuote's OLE Automation Object Model). If I do not have autoupdate,I do not have the Information what date was updated last. So I have to import the whole time frame. This is not good as Yahoo data has Issues and some of them I removed by removing quotes from the database not to make troubles in my calculation. Overwriting the whole time back overwrites also this effort. So also not usable.

Thanks for your Reply. Although your Answer was not exactly what I was searching for. But it brought me to an idea. As AmiQuote uses the last set Source, I could open Start/setSource/Quit by OLE. This would set the source for the next start. And than start the download by executeAndWait amiquote\quote.exe /autoupdate /close.
I will try out tomorrow and tell if it worked. But nevertheless a command line attribute /source=0 would be the most elegant solution. (Hopefully somebody from Amibroker team is reading this....)

The Idea was to create a Amibroker Batch which will first start AmiQuote to autoupdate the database and when the data is actual perform calculations.

As already described first start the AmiQouoteSetSource.js than execute "amiquote\quote.exe /autoupdate /close" to update the quotes.

thanks for your explanation. Sorry for so many question but I try to learn. A batch for scanning is just having a batch of actions in a list and when I pass the explorer only that batch is made with updated data, as well?
Because to run the data update you have to keep running the update by opening a friend, right? Or is there a way to automatically run amiquote at a specific time without having to do it manually?

I have installed AB32bit and AQ 32 bit and they both worked normally. Per your comment, I tried reboot the computer, updating window 10, full virus scan of the system and still get the same error message when i try to install new AQ.
The error says what it says: 'could not extract file' means that the program is NOT able to WRITE file to the folder that you specified because Windows does not allow it to do so. There are only TWO reasons why it can't:
i tried to address your comments by manually create and delete new directory under both amibroker and amiquote folder. It was successful so these directory did not seemed to be locked and I access right dont seemed to be a problem either.
I also checked in window setup that I am logged on as the administrator. Therefore the problem is unlikely related to access right. I certainly hope that the AB team will be able to help with a solution.
@etcjkam, as an additional debugging step, did you try to use a program like the SysInternal ProcessMonitor to see what is going on during the installation (what files and registry keys are accessed, created, etc.) ?e
Para descargar quotes desde Google Finance a Amibroker tambin puedes usar Amiquote. Sigue los pasos que te indico en el post y cuando ests en Amiquote seleccionas el desplegable source y alli eliges Google Finance (EOD,US & International stocks) si lo que buscas son datos historicos diarios.

Lo he mirado y si que da error con ACS y Abengoa en Google finance. Si lo miras en la pgina de google finance, el histrico si que est pero no te da opcin de descargarlo ( si lo comparas com MSFT: cuando vas a historical prices, a la derecha te da la opcin download to spreadsheet, esta opcin si que est con MSFT pero no con BME.ABG).
La solucin que se me ocurre es descargarlo de Yahoo Finance. Los tickers son ACS.MC y y para Abengoa hay 2 ABG.MC y ABG-P.MC . Yo acabo de hacer la prueba y se ha importado el histrico sin problemas.

Me quera pasar al google finance ya que hay sectores que no estn el yahoo finance. Bueno exactamente si estn en yahoo finance pero no se actualizan periodicamente. As que iba a intentarlo con google finance que tiene todo lo que quiero :).
Hola Dk2, me descargo Amiquote, es un arcivo .exe que ejecuto..next,next y me sale Amiquote Read Me.
No se si es que hay un fallo o que soy muy torpe pero no puedo descargarme el software. Es la version 3.12.
No se si me puedes ayudar.

La versin demo viene con algunos datos ya cargados que te sirven para hacer algunas pruebas.
No recuerdo si puedes cargar datos nuevos o no ( por ejemplo importando un fichero csv con las cotizaciones) lo que si recuerdo es que no te permite guardar nada en esta base de datos demo.
En principio Yahoo si que ajusta las distribuciones de dividendos y splits. El tema es cmo los ajusta. En acciones blue chips USA generalemnte no hay problemas, pero cuando te metes con europeas o acciones con menor capitalizacion puede haber desajustes (revisar los datos que se importan o no depende de cada uno)
VALE, LA COSA ES HACERSE CON LISTADO ACCIONES DEL NYSE, NASDAQ, SP500, STOXX600, ETC PERO TICKERS DE GOOGLEFINANCE. A PARTIR DE AQU SEGUIR LOS PASOS QUE DESCRIBES, VERDAD?
LO QUE OCURRE ES QUE ANDO DANDO VUELTAS Y NO ENCUENTRO LOS TICKERS.

En principio los tickers del mercado US son los mismos para Yahoo que para GoogleFinance. Aqu tines la lista de los del sp500: _of_S%26P_500_companies con un par de manipulaciones simples (seleccionar todos, pegar como valores en excel) lo puedes tener listo.
Escribo porque tengo un problema al importar datos de tus listas. Algunos me salen como importados en Amiquote pero no aparecen en Amibroker.. Tirando de yahoo no bajan y tirando de Quandl pasa lo que te comento, adems las fechas del ltimo dato que aparece en Amibroker parecen aleatorias.
Yo estoy trabajando con los datos de TradingView desde Amirboker, pero tengo que descargarme uno a uno los datos ahora mismo. Me gustara saber si puedo usar la descarga automtica de los datos de TradingView mediante amiquote y como, gracias.
Hola Duck, estoy creando la base de datos para AMIbroker. No tengo claro si comprarme el plugin para Investing o la licencia de amiquote para bajarme los datos de Yahoo finance.
Mi trading no es para intradia, es decir, no necesito datos en tiempo real.
Me gustara saber tu opinin.

You all must have used amiquote earlier with yahoo current. If u take nse yahoo symbols as tls files and load it in amibroker u get data from yahoo but till now it was delayed even if are logged in yahoo
c) Close Amibroker and reopen and load amitry database
d) Click from file menu database settings
e) Go to intraday settings and recheck that the 10 which we have put in the time shift box is intact If it shows as 0 read zero change it to 10 and again save the database Now it will be fixed.
Now close all progs esp amibroker & amiquote
Before our Indian mkt starts at 9:00
We have to 1st log in yahoo finance
Then start amibroker and load amitry database.
Then fire up Amiquote and load the nse yahoo symbol.tls
And select yahoo current and click the green so that it starts running also select the
Autoimport box and put 1 in run every one minute

Plz confirm one thing if I buy when I see d green signal according to 21 EMA after 10-15 minutes of market opening, and put the stop loss accordingly. And sell when I see d red signal wd stop loss.
