Good morning Brothers,

This is a reminder for all of you that the Undergrads are hosting the traditional Eta Lambda Spring Banquet Weekend in about 6 weeks from now, April 21-22 in Blacksburg.

This is very similar to what so many of us attended at the Sheraton Red Lion Inn and the "Mary-Rot" (Marriott) in the 70's, 80's and 90's as a way for: 1. Alumni to attend and see each other and mix with the Undergrads, 2. Parents of the Undergrads to observe/learn about all of the GOOD things of Theta Chi, 3. Celebrate Mother's Day (a couple of weeks early), and 4. Celebrate Theta Chi National Founder's Day.

As the alumni advisor to the chapter for the last few years, I can truly say that this current crop of Theta Chi men are among the finest I've ever had the opportunity to work with, and they have recruited 21 outstanding new men as pledges, which is an all-time Chapter record for pledge class size. These undergrads are growing in number, leadership and influence on the VT campus!

Last year we had more than 130 undergrads, alumni and parents in attendance. Again this year, the festivities will begin with a very special Banquet on Friday night 4/21 at 6pm at The Inn at Virginia Tech, which is attached the to Holtzman Alumni Center on Virginia Tech's campus. For those of you who attended last year, you know that this venue is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

Saturday's agenda includes a big Theta Chi Eta Lambda Tailgate celebration in the South End Zone parking lot, beginning at 11:30 and leading right up to the 2pm Spring Football Game kickoff time.

We also have a special Theta Chi hotel rate of only $90/night in a room block for the weekend at the Days Inn Blacksburg (about two minutes from the Ranch) on April 21-23. These rooms will be kept aside until the room block 'drop date' of March 22^nd, after which all non-accounted-for rooms in the block will be released back to the general public. These rooms should fill up fast, so make sure to call in soon to reserve your room TODAY!

The room block is saved as “Theta Chi Spring Game ‘17”, so make sure to tell them that when making your reservations.

Heather confirmed today that the room block gets dropped at midnight tonight and then those rooms get released to the public at higher prices. So get 'em while you can!
