It was great to see many of you at the reunion this past weekend - I hope to see the others at the next reunion.  Those at the reunion got to see Danny (DR549) Richardson and meet his wife Kate.  I heard from Kate last night and Danny's oldest son Andy (31) passed away - see below.  Please keep Danny, Kate and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

James Andrew Richardson (Andy), 31, of Hueytown, AL, died on April 24, 2014 after battling depression for many years. He was born on May 10, 1982, in Bluefield, WV. Andy will be deeply missed by his parents Danny and Kate Richardson, of Hueytown, AL, and Lisa and Ed Ramsey, of Lynchburg, VA; his brother Robert Richardson and his wife Christy; his sister Sally Richardson; his step-sister Ashley Kimmel; his step-brothers Christopher and Michael Ramsey; his grandfather Frederick Terrell, Jr. of Lynchburg, VA; his grandmother Joyce P. Richardson of Louisa, VA; all his aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his countless friends. Andy was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Daniel Richardson, his uncle Mark Richardson, and his maternal grandmother, Kay Davis Terrell.

Andy graduated from Hueytown High School in 2000 and attended the University of Alabama. Andy rarely met someone he couldn’t strike a conversation with, and he had many cherished “brothers” and “sisters” who extended beyond his immediate family. He will always be remembered for his contagious laugh, kindness, great sense of humor, and his big, caring heart. We all hope that Andy has found peace.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Andy’s memory to The Foundry, 1800 4th Avenue North, Bessemer, AL 35021.

Visitation is from 10am-12pm, followed by a memorial service at 12pm on Saturday May 3, 2014, at Hueytown First United Methodist Church, Hueytown, AL.
