I have kaspersky premium subscription. I installed kaspersky password manager. I have a good internet connection. But I cannot Sync my kaspersky password manager. Its shows unable to sync please check your internet connection error. I try complete uninstall and reinstall Kaspersky Password Manager but its not working. Kindly need your help. I attached screenshot for your reference.
Hello there, I have been facing the same issue, having bought kaspersky premium.
The issue seems to be on kaspersky's side as I have an android which also fails to sync with KPM which makes me believe this problem isn't device specific.
Trouble shooting I have done:
1) Uninstalling and reinstalling KPM, even disconnecting and reconnecting with My Kaspersky account.
2) Using kavremover to remove KPM and reinstalling it again.
If kaspersky had an issue connecting to my account, it just wouldn't show up my vault in my kaspersky account which doesn't seem to be the case as I can access my vault through my kaspersky.
I have tried reinstalling KPM on my phone many times again with no avail.
I found out that if everything and the local password database are completely deleted, the first synchronization takes place (without a stamp or time in the Sync window). As a result, I see the following problems:
1. No last sync timestamp
2. The local database is not uploaded to the cloud
Still a problem on my Account. No Sync possible. Still waiting for Kaspersky Technical Support. I have send them all the data they asked. I already maybe lost 300 Passwords. MacOS, IpadOS, IOS, no sync...
I have another password manager. Every time I want to log in to a page with my other password manager, I am getting little popups wanting me to use Kaspersky password manager. I've been able to find anything in settings or preferences to disable Kaspersky.
Windows 10 Chrome browser.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Now I'm feeling a bit silly. On a closer look, it's not actually the password manager, it's the "secure keyboard input". Which makes sense, as from what I could see in my settings, the password manager has not been set up.
The pop up disappears in a few seconds, which I didn't realize before, as I enter my log in and pw very quickly.
So, I guess i just leave it, ignore it, it's a good thing ?
It never hurts to ask, we're delighted the issue has been clarified; just for your information the Quick launch keyboard icon that generates a Secure Keyboard Input is enabled popup, (that you've shown in the image) & that drives many Kaspersky subscribers nuts, that popup cannot be disabled or managed in any way.
Hello,
the only way to migrate from KPM seems to be export csv.
However, the data exported is not in compatible format. Someone tried this before? Any suggestions on how to convert data?
Thanks.
FF
As far as I know, Kaspersky exports to a plaintext file format. We don't have a direct way of importing that to the app, but worry not - you should still be able to migrate this information over. And we're happy to provide advice and support on this process.
Use the kaspersky converter in the converter suite. It will create a 1PIF file, and not a CSV file, however. You will need 1Password 7 to import this 1PIF file, so if you have version 8, uninstall it temporarily, install version 7, and then you can import the 1PIF. Then you may uninstall 7, reinstall 8.
You can do all of the uninstalling / reinstalling of 1Password after you have the conversion completed; that way, if there are issues you'd need me to resolve, you still have your current 1Password version working.
@Landy66 - I too had Kaspersky and went through the same process listed in the previous comments and it worked perfectly. Answering your question in case you have not figured out, you need to type the complete address where the .txt file is at the end of the command. In your case would be (just copy and paste):
The error encountered by the other user indicates that the export file was missing some expected patterns at the beginning of the export file, namely Websites, Applications, or Notes. Example:
I finally removed these elements from txt file (only 3) and added it manually in 1PM, I remember that I put these accounts in Other category because KPM show the accounts from same url in groups and I don't like that (in my work I manage more than 30 apple accounts, 15 autodesk accounts, etc).
Sorry for don't being clear, I don't added the category, maybe it was added in some update after you made this tool. The "Other Accounts" registry has these fields, I hope it help you:
Unfortunately the user can't select which elements export in KPM.
Muchas gracias amigo!
Hello, thank you firstly for creating this, it looks like a fantastic tool. Sadly it doesn't seem to work for me. I'm trying to convert the exported txt file from Kaspersky password manager. I've looked through this forum post multiple times and tried what people have suggested by giving the full location path and searching for 'other accounts' in the txt file but every time I get the same error: 'The file 'c:\Users\Pete\Desktop\pm_export.txt' does not exist.' Everything seems to have worked so far, all in admin mode for CMD too.
My guess is that you have two file suffixes on the export file and don't realize it (as in "pm_export.txt.txt"), so the converter will not find the export file without knowing the correct name. This is why you likely see:
Well that was annoying simple to fix haha. Thank you for your response. Honestly it didn't even cross my mind that could be the issue. It all worked brilliantly and I now can escape Kaspersky's grasp!
There's also Secret Vault, again on the Windows platform, essentially a highly secure data storage feature - available in Kaspersky Premium, Kaspersky Plus & not available for: MAC, iOS or Android. But - we think you're *not* referring to this....
There's a Suggestions for Kaspersky Password Manager - in the Russian language Forum, that was started in June 2022, that's now 5 pages long. You may also wish to meditate on the fact that if "importing from 3pty password managers" has not changed in 15years, things sometimes happen slowly (ioo), we've lost count of the requests to expand the list of 3pty password managers, despite the many assurances from Kaspersky that they are responsive to their users.
Today morning I purchased Kaspersky Password Manager. I have installed it on my new laptop and saved the backup database of my passwords from the my older version Kaspersky password manager on my old laptop. I downloaded and installed KPM on my new laptop and attempted to import my password data base which was created in KPM older version but with no success. Each time I try to import the database it will say that it can't import from Kaspersky password manager older version!!!! I created a ticket with Kaspersky and spoke with a customer service rep. She told me that I have to enter my database entries one by one to the new version!!!!!What she is talking about I have like 150 entries with all the details that will take me weeks of manual work. The worst thing about the customer rep is that she even refuse to escalate or refer me to a manager who may have the knowledge to help. She was with the attitude of getting red of me because she offered to cancel my subscription many times during conversation.
For the past years I used and trusted Kaspersky internet products but this was the first time I cam back to them for support and found non. Still I can't beleive who their customer service dealt with me may be because I built a high expectation from them over years and years of buying their products. If they are not able to support a customer with a simple issue like importing a database created even in one of their earlier versions then what the support would you expect in bigger technical problem with their products.
Personally, I would like to think it is just someone having a bad day, we all do at times. With all that Kaspersky is probably going through in this world, I would hope the next rep would be all the more accommodating.
Besides, I really like KPM and its desktop app. I've used others before, but keep coming back to this one. It's a shame that they made the import so hard from the previous version kpm_vault.edb into the newer text file version?

I do not consider this a solution and I am hoping for a reasonable one. But maybe this can help someone else. So far this is what I've had to do................................... I'm attempting to export Norton passwords to Kaspersky Password manager...or any other password manager......................................... I exported Norton Passwords to CSV file and I edited the CSV file in a spreadsheet editor...................................... I deleted all the columns EXCEPT User Name, Password, Site Name, Login URL............................... THEN I had to rearrange the columns like this......................................... Site Name, Login URL, User Name, Password...................................... THEN I imported the new CSV file in to Google passwords.................................... THEN I exported a new CVS file from Google passwords ..................................THEN I imported the Google exported CSV file into MS Edge...................................... THEN I imported the Edge bookmarks in to Kaspersky through the native browser import tool................................. It would never accept a CSV file exported from Nortons.................................. Nortons user a non standard format where the columns are different. It wasn't perfect and It missed some but I have 115 login\passwords and it got most of them............................................. I am done with Nortons. This is it. Too many issues. It's just not a good product anymore. I was going to ride out my subscription until December but I can't. The password manager was the final straw.
