4th Announcement - SLAFES XXIII (Latin American Symposium on Solid State Physics)

Dear colleagues and friends,

please find enclosed the 4th announcement of SLAFES XXIII, to be held in Bariloche, Argentina, on 10-13 April 2018.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is a pleasure to let you know how the preparation of SLAFES XXIII is progressing, and at this time we'd like to call your attention to important upcoming dates and news.

- 1) First, please notice that we are now only 3 weeks  away from the deadline for Submission of Abstracts: 16 October.

      PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACTS NOW!

      (i) Do it through our website at fisica.cab.cnea.gov.ar/slafes23/abstracts, where you will find indications for a brief online pre-registration and abstract submission.

      (ii) Each presenting author may submit up to 2 contributions.

      (iii) Notice that a special helpline, dedicated to solve eventual  problems during submission of abstracts, has been set up (contact org-sl...@cab.cnea.gov.ar).

- 2) After the Abstracts Submission deadline, follow:
      Early Registration: 16 October - 15 January 2018
      Submission of Financial Support Requests: 16 October - 20 November

- 3) You may see the PROGRAM – updated on 21 September, which includes the  schedule of Plenary and Semiplenary talks by the 20 distinguished experts who have confirmed their participation as Invited Speakers of SLAFES XXIII.

- 4) Notice the discounts on flights to Bariloche for SLAFES participants, offered by Aerolineas Argentinas (see Travel to Bariloche).

- 5) Check the special rates for accommodation offered to SLAFES XXIII participants by a number of hotels in Bariloche (see Accommodation).
