Kumari Bambasara Hadu Da (කුමරි බඹසර හඬූ ද) is a 2001 Sri Lankan drama film directed by Dharma Sri Wickramasinghe and produced by his wife, Nirmala Wickramasinghe. The film stars Kamal Addararachchi, Sangeetha Weeraratne, Ravindra Randeniya, and Anoja Weerasinghe in the lead roles. The film revolves around the life of Kumari, a young girl who is forced to marry a wealthy businessman, Bambasara, who is much older than her. Kumari struggles to adjust to her new life and faces various challenges from her husband's family and society. The film explores the themes of child marriage, domestic violence, social stigma, and women's empowerment.
The film was released on March 22, 2001 and received critical acclaim from both critics and audiences. The film won several awards at the Sarasaviya Film Festival, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
