Sunny Kele and Aditya Chothia are best friends who want to learn how to be successful in their sex life. They meet a friend who recalls an incident where he helped an old lady who she asked him to stay over as it was raining. The next day, he woke up to find an attractive girl named Bunty and he apparently had sex with her. He encourages his friends to do the same.

Two years later, Sunny and Aditya have a good sex life and participate in a sex-addict rehab where they present their presentation and later have sex with two girls after arousing them. Their colleague is impressed and they reveal that they have chicks-ray which allows them to see through women's clothes and show it by telling the color of the lingerie three girls were wearing.Laila Lele and Lily Lele are very attractive twins. Laila after a shower, walks around naked in her house and then dresses up as her neighbour appears at the door, aroused by her. They are fired from their company when they present an ad on a soft drink, Gol Goti Soda, where they showcase a boy wishing to enlarge a girl's breasts. The two then meet Laila Lele and Lily Lele (both played by Sunny Leone) who are twins and are extremely attractive. Aditya and Sunny explain their gift of seeing through women's dresses to a man by telling the colour of bras and panties three girls are wearing. Laila is bathing when suddenly her bathroom curtain falls, revealing her naked but her butt gets blocked by soap. Then she moves around her house with a towel which gets ripped by a vacuum cleaner, leaving her to roam in her house totally naked. After she is dresses, she is greeted by her neighbour who gets aroused by seeing her and tries to flirt with her, asking two oranges when he sees her breasts. She wishes luck to Lily for her work who has a speech impediment. In search for a job, Sunny and Aditya come across a company led by Titli (Gizele Thakral) who has giant breasts. Soon, Sunny falls in love with Laila and Aditya falls in love with Lily. They participate in a sex addiction prevention event held by the twins where Laila strips to test the men's erection. Everyone fails except Aditya who erects after getting touched by Lily. To his disappointment, he finds that Lily has a boyfriend named Deshpremi.They both win a chance to go on a trip with Laila and Lily where they meet their strict father, sex-addict mother and a gay brother, Das who is after Sunny. In a series of comedic events, which leads to a climactic chase where Sunny, Aditya, Laila and Lily try to evade their family. They accidentally find themselves stuck on a rat glue factory and the conveyor belt leads them towards a cutter. While fighting each other, Lily falls on the machine and gets stuck and Aditya frees her while stripping her to her underwear in the process. Sunny explains that in order to protect themselves they need to strip down their clothes to create a rope that can reach the lever and shut it down. They all strip to underwear and succeed. The father forgives Aditya and Sunny and they happily marry their loved ones. After their marriage, Laila puts a coin on Sunny again and performs a seductive dance and rips her saree to reveal her breasts in pink bra which causes Sunny an erection and sends the coin flying above to the upper floor.

Principal photography commenced on 7 September 2014 and was completed by December 2014.[14] It was shot at various locations in Thailand and India. The film was initially slated to release on 1 May 2015, but it was held back for almost six months by the Censor Board owing to its sexual content.[15] On 13 August 2015, the Central Board of Film Certification finally granted the censor certificate to the film.[16][17][18] It was subsequently released on 29 January 2016.[10]

The music for Mastizaade is composed by Meet Bros Anjjan, Amaal Mallik, and Anand Raj Anand. Sanjoy Chowdhury composed the background score for the film. The lyrics were written by Kumaar, Anand Raj Anand and Manoj Muntashir. The popular song "Baby Doll", which was pictured Sunny Leone from the movie Ragini MMS 2 has been recreated and used in the film.[19]
The first song "Rom Rom Romantic" was released on 28 December 2015 on official T-Series YouTube channel.[20] The second song "Hor Nach" was released on 6 January 2016.[21] The third song "Dekhega Raja Trailer" was released on 13 January 2016.[22] The title song of movie was released on 19 January 2016.[23] The song "Kamina Hai Dil" was released on 26 January 2016.[24] The full music album was released on 29 December 2015 by T-Series.[25]

Times of India rated this film 1/5 stars and said "Mastizaade is a result of fractured script".[26] Indian Express stated that "there are barely two and a half laughs in Sunny Leone's film".[27] The Hindu stated "Would you call this a film?".[28] Sarita A. Tanwar of DNAIndia rated the film 2 stars and stated "A feast for Sunny Leone's fans, Mastizaade is shocking and scandalous".[29]

On 3 February 2016, protests flared in the Punjab city of Ludhiana, disrupting the screening and calling for the ban of this film. The protests were staged by the Hindu Nyay Peeth.[31] Also, on 10 February 2016, an FIR against Sunny Leone and Vir Das was registered in the Adarsh Nagar Police Station in Delhi. The complaint was about the film hurting religious sentiments in the way that supposedly depicted promoting the use of a condom inside a temple.[32] That same day, a complaint was filed with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) seeking a ban on the movie. It was based on the movie allegedly 'diminishing the dignity of wives and mothers of the Army men on duty.'[33]

It's only January but I'm willing to bet good money that Bollywood won't make a worse film than Mastizaade this year. This film isn't just bad, it's soul-crushingly bad. I was depressed for hours after seeing it. I felt like all the color and magic had been sucked out of my life.

Unlike Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3, Mastizaade doesn't even pretend to have a plot. Scenes and songs are randomly stitched together. It's a series of comedy sketches held together by sexual innuendo. And the jokes aren't just lame. They are vile.

In an interview with The Indian Express, Milap said that he used his family as a sounding board for his scripts. He said: If I can narrate any joke to my mother and she doesn't find it offensive then I can use it in the film. So I'm going to make a direct appeal to Mrs Zaveri: Next time, please say no.

But the duo ends up falling for the twin sisters Laila Lele and Lily Lele (both played by Sunny Leone) who run a sex addiction clinic and both try to win them over while dealing with the girl's bizarre family.

• Abhorrent Admirer: The chubby and gay Das openly lusts after Sunny and Aditya and constantly throws himself at them, who both act disgusted towards him.
• Alliterative Name: The twin sisters Laila Lele and Lily Lele.
• Anorgasmia: Seema claims she cheated on Ashit due to his inability to give her an orgasm during their marriage.
• Boob-Based Gag: The appropriately named Titli Boobna. Her big breasts often get in her way like stopping an elevator from closing or blocking her view of the lunch she kept below her breasts.

• But Liquor Is Quicker: Sunny and Aditya fake alcohol and sex addictions in order to go to support groups to scout for addicted girls since they're "easy".
• Buxom Beauty Standard: Both Titli Boobna and Laila are very buxom, and her breasts get attention from both the camera and the characters.
• Camp Gay: Laila and Lily's brother Das, who cats extremely flamboyant, including wearing flower fat and riding a pink bike.
• Can't Act Perverted Toward a Love Interest: Sunny and Aditya use this logic In-Universe to convince themselves the Lele twins are their true loves since they're the only women who are immune to their "chick-rays".
• Can't Have Sex, Ever: Lily's fiancee Deshpremi is unable to have sex due to his paralysis, which she doesn't mind given her dislike of sex. Many jokes are still made about it at his expense. When her mother shows up during the wedding ceremony, she actually gives this as the reason for Lily to abandon him, arguing that a marriage without sex would never work and Lily actually listens and abandons Deshpremi on the spot.
• Catapult Nightmare: Laila shoots up awake in this fashion after she has a nightmare about Sunny being gay.
• Censor Suds: Laila's butt, while bathing, is censored by soap bubbles.
• Consummate Liar: Sunny and Aditya make up a ton of fake sob stories about their lives in order to impress or gain sympathy from women.
• Cringe Comedy: The two main characters often making fools of themselves is a big source of humor, such as making it look like they're having sex with a horse.
• Daddy's Girl: Lily is very close and dedicated to her father. He doesn't get along with Laila as well due to her promiscuity reminding him of his cheating wife Seema.
• Depraved Homosexual: Das is portrayed as very lustful, and consistently tries to forces himself on Sunny despite his constant rejections. He even tries to molest him in his sleep. This is Played for Laughs as an offensive gay stereotype.

• Giving Them the Strip: At the climax, everyone removes their clothes to tie them together and make a rope to reach the lever to stop the conveyor belt.
• Gratuitous English: Laila speaks English often when being seductive.
• Groin Attack: During the paintball scene, Aditya, Das and Sunny all get shot in the crotch, courtesy of Deshpremi, Laila and Ashit.
• Handicapped Badass: Played for Laughs with Deshpremi, who can do somersaults with a bamboo stick and still land in his wheelchair, manages to win a tug of war against several people by himself and perfectly shoots several bottles while his eyes are tied.
• Head-Turning Beauty: Laila attracts a lot of people who can be been ogling her constantly, including: Sunny, her neighbor, a kid, a group of men, an old man and even a dead man.
• Home Nudist: Laila roams around her house naked after bathing, with plenty of Scenery Censor and Shoulders-Up Nudity preserving her modesty.
• Hood Ornament Hottie: Laila washes a car in a bikini during a sequence in the "Rom Rom Romantic" song.
• Identical Twin Mistake: Sunny and Aditya confuse Deshdrohi as his twin brother, Deshpremi, when they see Deshdrohi walking around with a bunch of girls in town.
• The "I Love You" Stigma: Laila gets turned off when Sunny says he loves her just before they're about to have sex.

• Lovable Sex Maniac: Downplayed. Sunny and Aditya are supposed to come off as this, but the way they manipulate women puts the "lovable" part in question.
• Love at First Sight: Both main characters end up falling in love with the Lele twins upon first seeing them.
• Male Gaze: Plenty, the camera zooms in a lot in the bodies of pretty much every female character. Most notably with Titli Boobna where the camera keeps changing angels so her cleavage is visible.
• Mistaken for Gay: Laila starts to believe Sunny is gay after a couple of Exact Eavesdropping incidents. She even has an Imagine Spot where he's acting Camp Gay like her brother.
• Modesty Towel: Played With. Laila wears one around her waist after bathing, but her breasts remain concealed by Scenery Censor instead.
• Ms. Fanservice: Laila Lele, a Head-Turning Beauty whose outfits expose a ton of skin and gets a ton of gratuitous Fanservice scenes with a lot of Male Gaze. Downplayed with Lily, who usually is dressed more conservatively, but still has a couple of Fanservice scenes.
• My Girl Is Not a Slut: Despite his own promiscuity, Sunny is disappointed to learn Laila is a sex addict much like him, as he truly fell in love with her and wished she acted more "proper" instead. He finally accepts her when she starts to dress more conservatively for his sake so they can marry and be together.
• Nerd Glasses: Lily wears stereotypical geeky glasses, likely to to differentiate her from her twin sister Laila.
• Nice Girl: Lily is a kind girl who genuinely wants to help people with her sex addiction group, in contrast with her sister who's just in it to look for sex.
• Nobody Here but Us Statues: Aditya and Lily act as statues while escaping Deshpremi in a song sequence.
• Not Distracted by the Sexy: When Laila performs her striptease, Aditya is the only one that successfully doesn't get aroused and passes her coin test. But then subverted right after when Lily compliments him on his control and he instantly climaxes in his pants.
• Not What It Looks Like: Aditya's pants zipper gets stuck on a horse's tail while he's cleaning it, and his attempts to get it unstuck make it look like he's having sex with the horse to onlookers.

• Punny Name: Several characters have these, although most only work on Hindi. Titli Boobna and Mr. U.R. Ashit being the most obvious ones.
• Queer People Are Funny: Laila and Lily's brother Das is constantly made fun of, with his Camp Gay antics and being an Abhorrent Admirer to Sunny. During the Shooting Gallery competition, he's unable to hit the bottle in front of him, as a joke that he's "unable to shoot straight".
• Really Gets Around: Sunny, Aditya, Laila and Seema are both very promiscuous and looked down upon due to it.
• Raging Stiffie:
• Laila's "coin test" in the sex addict class is to put a coin on a man's crotch and then perform striptease. All men save for Aditya fail, with their coins flying into the ceiling.
• The scene gets a Call-Back at the end, when Laila and Sunny are about to sleep together and she throws a coin at his pants and performs a Sexy Coat Flashing. Cue the coin going through the ceiling and hitting Das upstairs.
• Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Lily suffers this at the climax when her sari is ripped and she has a minor Naked Freak-Out as a result.
• Runaway Bride: Lily abandons Deshpremi on the altar after a pep talk from her mother, causing a goofy chase sequence as her father and fiancee try to catch her and the protagonists.

• Deep, Sunny and Aditya's friend who advised them about the sex addict scheme in the prologue. When they meet him later, he's become a sex guru who goes by "Baba Gasm" due to his power to bring women to orgasm with just his mind.

• Shout-Out:
• Laila wandering nude in her room while several comical objects provide Scenery Censor is a reference to similar sequences in the Austin Powers films.
• The climax of the film where the cast gets stuck in a Conveyor Belt o' Doom is a reference to a similar scene in The Myth with Jackie Chan and Mallika Sherawat.
• The climax has another reference: The cast requiring to strip to make a makeshift rope out of their attires to save themselves is reminiscent of the climax of another Bollywood Sex Comedy called Grand Masti, where the female characters had to make a rope out of their clothes to save the men hanging from the edge of a building.
• Sibling Triangle: Downplayed. Das and Laila are both interested but despite Sunny seeing Das as an Abhorrent Admirer, Laila still treats him as actual competition and the siblings get into a slap fight over it.
• Sibling Yin-Yang: Twin sisters Laila and Lily have this dynamic. Laila is a Ms. Fanservice and Head-Turning Beauty who acts and dresses provocatively, while Lily is The Cutie and a Nice Girl who's kind and innocent and dresses more conservatively.
• Side Boob: Laila's left breast is briefly visible when she is walking towards her wardrobe.
• Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Lily is interested in Deshpremi due to his good qualities and the first sign of attraction he shows to Aditya is when he's the only one to resist Laila's seduction attempt.
• Streaking: Aditya is forced to run naked in a public place after he's caught in bed with another man's wife and is forced to run. The camera doesn't go bellow his waist, but onlookers mention he's still wearing a condom as he runs.
• Stripperiffic: Laila wears revealing dresses for most of the film. Subverted when she decides to start wearing saris later.

• Laila's Modesty Towel gets snagged off her waist during her introduction.
• Lily suffers this when she gets stuck on the rat glue and Aditya pulls her up, thus ripping her sari.

• The Tease: Laila is very flirtatious and forward, including during her sex addict sermons. Justified when it's revealed she's running the same scheme Sunny and Aditya were: going after sex addicts for easy sex with no commitment.
• Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: At the climax, both sides are stuck on a rat glue-covered conveyor belt and work together to stop the machine.

• Wacky Sound Effect: Most of the funs jokes are accompanied by a wacky sound effect soon after, for example, dirty jokes and innuendo have the sound of a woman moaning softly.

• X-Ray Vision: Downplayed Sunny and Aditya have the so-called 'chicks-ray', which allows them to see through women's clothing with the exception of Laila and Lily.
