Estes is working to provide masks for all employees. You can also make your own from a scarf, bandana, or other fabric. Click here for the CDC's guide, or watch a video tutorial here. (Due to bandwidth concerns, do not watch the video on the Estes network in the terminals.)

· Medical masks and respirators should be conserved for health-care workers, so stick with fabric masks if you're healthy. · The material should cover both your mouth and nose. · Be careful not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing your face covering, and wash your hands immediately after. · Covering your face does not offer full protection from COVID-19. Social distancing, frequently washing your hands, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces are still the best ways to prevent exposure.

When you return home from being in public, play it safe and treat everything as though it could be contaminated with COVID-19, including your face covering. You should wash it daily or after each use, following these pointers for best results: · If using a washing machine, set the water temperature to "warm" and make sure your mask is completely dry before re-wearing. · You can wash your mask by hand for convenience, but make sure to rinse it extra well. (Note: The rest of your clothes worn in public could still potentially be contaminated, so keep them in a closed bin or bag until you can do laundry.) · If possible, use EPA recommended laundry pre-soak sanitizer like this one. · Some sources say fabric can be sprayed with alcohol-based hand sanitizers with greater than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol, but this hasn't been confirmed as an effective sanitation method. If you try it, make sure your mask is fully dry before wearing. Pro tip: The skin on your face can be sensitive, so avoid extra chemicals like fabric softeners and dryer sheets.
