The issue not so much how much but the wage scheme itself. Here again this scheme is a unfair scheme. (from the first look) the  plantation Crop is seasonal and there are months where the crop drops, therefore the scheme is oppressive.  The current scheme is on the days of work offered by the company and again depends on the minimum kgs to be plucked to obtain the wages. Unfair scheme.

It's good the president if he gets involved since it's only in the plantation sector the state does not get involved in the determination of the wages. Tripartism (workers, employers and the state) is very essential. The plantation Worker community is the only community in Sri Lanka who are legally citizens but non citizens in many socio economic conditions.

பெருந்தோட்டத் தொழிலாளர்களுக்கு 730 ரூபா சம்பளம் வழங்க முதலாளிமார் சம்மேளனம் இணங்கியுள்ளதாக ஸ்ரீலங்கா சுதந்திரக் கட்சியின் நுவரெலியா மாவட்ட அமைப்பாளர் பெரியசாமி பிரதீபன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

கடந்த சில தினங்களாக பெருந்தோட்டத்தின் பகுதிகள் எங்கிலும் ஆயிரம் ரூபா சம்பள அதிகரிப்பு கோரி போராட்டம் நடத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

இன்றைய தினம் ஹட்டன், மஸ்கெலியா, வட்டவளை, குயில்வத்தை, கண்டி, கொட்டகல உள்ளிட்ட பல பகுதிகளில் போராட்டங்கள் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்த   நிலையில், அரசாங்கத்தின் பிரதான கூட்டணி கட்சியான ஸ்ரீலங்கா சுதந்திரக் கட்சியின் சம்பள பிரச்சினை குறித்து கருத்து வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

முதலாளிமார் சம்மேளனத்துடன் நடத்திய பேச்சுவார்த்தைகளின் போது சம்பள உயர்வு வழங்குவது இணக்கம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.

தொழில் அமைச்சர் ஜோன்செனவிரட்ன நடத்திய பேச்சுவார்த்தையின் போது நாளாந்த சம்பளத்தை 730 ஆக உயர்த்த இணங்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக பெரியசாமி பிரதீபன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

730 ரூபா அடிப்படையில் நான்கு நாட்களுக்கும், ஏனைய நாட்களுக்கு பறிக்கப்படும் கொழுந்திற்கு கிலோ ஒன்றுக்கு 35 ரூபா என்ற அடிப்படையில் சம்பளம் வழங்கப்பட இணங்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகத் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

 

இதனை விடவும் கூடுதல் தொகை சம்பளத்தை பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முயற்சி எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருவதாகத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

இந்த விடயத்தில் ஜனாதிபதி மைத்திரிபால சிறிசேன தலையீடு செய்து தீர்வு ஒன்றை வழங்குவார் எனவும் நம்பிக்கை வெளியிட்டுள்ள பிரதீபன், மக்கள் போராட்டங்களை கைவிட்டு வேலைக்கு திரும்ப வேண்டுமென கோரியுள்ளார்.
