1) Alumni Night! (2/25)

When: Tuesday, February 25th

Interested in a career in sustainability? ESSN is hosting it's second annual alumni night 8th week! Come out to hear a UCLA alumni panel speak about their experiences post-graduation and their careers in the world of sustainability. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow Bruins and network with people working in a wide array of environmental careers. This is one of our few large events during the year so you definitely won't want to miss it! FREE FOOD!

2) The Regents Scholar Society at UCLA presents a Service Week Speaker Event featuring Tina Quinn (2/26)

When: Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014
6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Where: Broad Art Center, Room 2100A

Tina Oppenheim Quinn is the Chair of the Board of Advisors for the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. She is the co-founder and a current board member of Sustainable Conservation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the notion that true sustainability has to balance both environmental and economic needs. She will be speaking on collaboration for environmental change and economic success and her experiences in environmental philanthropy. Take advantage of this opportunity to listen to and meet a prominent figure on our campus and a truly remarkable individual! Spread the word and bring your friends! All are welcome to this event.

3) PANEL: AOS Grad Student Panel on Climate Change (2/26)

When: Wednesday, Feb. 26th at 5:30pm  

Where: MS 7124

Join Climatepedia as they host a panel of graduate students from UCLA's very own department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences to discuss pressing climate change issues. Come to listen or have any questions you may have answered as well!


4) Buy with the UCLA Food Buying Club!
Are you interested in obtaining local, sustainable, and organic produce at an affordable price?
Join the Student Food Collective at UCLA's FOOD BUYING CLUB!

All you have to do is visit our online store, purchase the items you want to buy, then pick them up at a designated time. Its just like shopping for produce online, but because so many of us do it, we buy at wholesale prices! Pickup for this order will be on SUNDAY, MARCH 2 between 2-4 pm. Please make sure you can pick up your food during this time before ordering!

Our LAST order of the quarter is happening NOW!!!

5) Mentorship Sign Ups

Did you miss signing up for our mentorship program last quarter? Have no fear, our mentorship application is open again! If you are interested in either getting advice from a fellow undergraduate or mentoring one yourself, just sign up here! Sign ups are now rolling acceptance. 

(This does not apply to those who have applied last quarter, so the mentor/mentee pairs from last quarter will stay the same. Only people who haven't applied last quarter can apply and will get paired up.)
