Hi!

Thank you so much to those that came out to alumni night this past week, hopefully you enjoyed listening to our speakers! These are the updates for now:

1) End of Quarter Potluck (3/12)
NEXT Wednesday, 3/12 from 5-6pm
Student Activities Center, Basement Conference Room 2
Don't miss out on the last meeting of the quarter! We'll be holding a potluck as a last hurrah before finals hit. Feel free to bring a dish or snack, but your presence is more than enough. Hope to see you all there!

2) Mentorship Sign Ups
Did you miss signing up for our mentorship program last quarter? Have no fear, our mentorship application is open again! If you are interested in either getting advice from a fellow undergraduate or mentoring one yourself, just sign up here! Sign ups are now rolling acceptance.

(This does not apply to those who have applied last quarter, so the mentor/mentee pairs from last quarter will stay the same. Only people who haven't applied last quarter can apply and will get paired up.)

Feel free to contact us if you have any more questions.

3) Internships!

1.  Summer Internship at Metropolitan Water District
Deadline: Application packet received by mail by March 17th, 2014

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) provides water to 19 million Southern Californians. Through an agreement with the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation, Inc. and Cal Poly’s Co-op Education Office, we are currently seeking six (6) talented undergraduate engineering students to participate in our Engineering Services Group Summer Student Internship Program. The program augments the students' studies with practical work experience at MWD.

The Engineering Services Group designs and supervises the construction of water-related structures and facilities, including pipelines, water treatment facilities, operations centers, hydropower plants, reservoirs and numerous regulating structures.

The program is limited to students planning to return to college in the fall of 2014, and is designed to provide only temporary work and a learning work experience in the water industry. All students accepted for this program will end employment by September 30, 2014 (or when the fall quarter/semester starts).
