Teresa
Hildebrand will be coming to speak about her work and experience as the
sustainability programs manager for the UCLA Health System.This is a really great opportunity to meet someone working in the field and have any questions you may have answered!
As
the Sustainability Programs Manager, Teresa Hildebrand is responsible
for developing and leading a comprehensive sustainability program for
the UCLA Health System which includes the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical
Center, the Mattel Children’s Hospital, the Stewart and Linda Resnick
Neuropsychiatric Hospital, and the UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica.
Teresa is currently coordinating the development of the hospital version
Green Office Program and several recycling initiatives.
2) Climate Change: Challenges and Solutions in a Contemporary World (5/15)

presents "Climate Change: Challenges and Solutions in a Contemporary
World," a professor panel exploring the significance of climate change
beyond the usual paradigm of conventional debate by approaching it from
an interdisciplinary perspective of science, economics, health, and
policy. With guest professors including: Richard Ambrose (IoES), Richard Jackson (Environmental Health Sciences), and Jim McWilliams (Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences).
3) Wildlife Specialist Internship Opportunity
The Student Conservation Association is looking
to place 2 interns to serve as Wildlife Specialist at the Naval Base in
Guantanamo Cuba. The interns will serve alongside Naval Base staff in
the capacity of habitat restoration, species surveys, population
monitoring, and GIS analysis.
