An “Earth and Space Science Informatics Summit” will be held at the Villa Celimontana, Rome, 13-14th March 2008. The Summit is an Electronic Geophysical Year (eGY) activity and will bring together leaders of geoinformatics and space science informatics programs around the world in order to expand cooperation.
I wish to invite you to attend the Summit and to give an invited talk about geoinformatics developments in India. There are no registration fees and eGY can offer token funding, but participants must essentially be self-funded. We currently do not have Indian representation, so we do hope you will be able to join us.
Information about the Summit is at: www.egy.org and also at http://groups.google.com/group/essisummit A plan for the meeting is attached. I have also attached a list of the people we are inviting to give you an idea of the scale of the meeting (please keep this list private).
