1st ESSEC USA Visionary Award
The Association has selected Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux (E00), Founder and CEO of Global Space Ventures. Visionary leader in her field, the recipient of this Award, has reached exceptional levels of professional and personal achievement.
Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux (E00)
Laetitia is the founder/managing partner of Global Space Ventures, through which she has backed and accelerated emerging technology pioneers developing fundamental technology critical to national security and our space future. An early investor in SpaceX, she was also instrumental as co-founder/President of Escape Dynamics in meaningful advances in high power microwave systems and beamed energy technology, including its onboarding to NASA’s roadmap. Laetitia serves on the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Science Board; on NATO Maritime Unmanned Systems Innovation Advisory Board; on the board of directors of XPRIZE, which launched the $100M Carbon Removal XPRIZE with Elon Musk; on the advisory board of the Truman Center for National Policy; and the board of the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath).
