Iwouldn't say it's "basically impossible" it's just flat out impossible. You need a teammate for 2 of the ops. I think you'll also find that several of the latter missions will be very very difficult to complete alone. There is a thread in this forum for finding people to play with if you have nobody.

besides the two that require 2 people, the others can be beaten solo but require A LOT of patience and skill. All of the echo ops, and most of the delta ops are VERY hard solo. They're considerably easier co op (how I beat them). Don't bother soloing them.

Do they just have less guys in there because it's solo? When I did it coop and we each took our own door it seemed to me that I shot a couple of guys that would not be in the line of sight from one of the doors and vice versa.

I actually beat High Explosive by myself on veteran. I basically did what this guy did in his youtube video did. Go to the building to the far left from your spawn once they start getting in the building and getting too close for comfort hop out the window and thumb them outside that building. Once they get close hop thru the window back into the same building. Here's the video of basically what I did. He starts to do it at the 1:15 mark in the video. Video was done by Shiftahhh

Damn that would be tough. I probably did 65% of the spec ops on veteran solo. Which one did you think was the toughest ? I beat Wetwork, Armor Piercing (got it down to 4 juggs solo), Wardriving with a buddy. The others I got solo minus the 2 player required ones.

I played the one mission where you have a guy in the AC-130 by myself. I used one controller with my profile on it to control the guy on the ground and the other controller to fire the AC-130. I would just clear out an area with the AC-130 and then advance on the ground. It worked out pretty well.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has finally released, and that means everyone can now get their hands on the game's thrilling campaign mode. Set soon after the events of Modern Warfare 2019's campaign, Modern Warfare 2 sees Task Force 141 seek out some missing missiles, but things don't all go to plan. Throughout the campaign, players take control of various members of Task Force 141, with one of the game's best missions putting players in the boots of fan-favorite character John "Soap" MacTavish as he sneaks around a Mexican town, all while chatting with the team's most solemn member, Ghost.

With this version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 taking place on the reboot timeline, any characters that originated in the 2000s Modern Warfare series are a little different from how fans may remember them. While Ghost was always Task Force 141's most direct member, he's a little more cutting and cruel in this version of Modern Warfare 2, but during the game's 'Alone' mission, Soap manages to break down a few of those barriers, and a friendship begins to take root.

At the beginning of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Soap is a little more green than some fans may have expected. Soap is clearly pretty new to Task Force 141, and he hasn't really gained the respect or confidence of Ghost, his commanding officer, yet. Soap is also a lot more optimistic than the grizzled Ghost, trying his best to keep casualties to a minimum, and even going out of his way to ensure it.

During the second mission of the game, "Kill or Capture," players control Soap as he clears out an estate in search of a terrorist leader named Hassan. When the team's helicopter goes down, and its pilot gets stuck in some crossfire, Soap redirects the team to aid him, despite Ghost's wishes to remain on the objective. While they save the pilot, Hassan makes his escape, and Ghost remarks that there are consequences to their actions. It's clear from the get-go that Ghost doesn't trust Soap, and that their methods don't align.

Quite a way through Modern Warfare 2's campaign, Ghost and Soap are betrayed and forced to make their way through the treacherous Las Almas alone. The player takes control of Soap once more, completely isolated from the rest of the team, injured, and with no weapons. As Soap begins to make his way through the town, flooded with enemy soldiers, Ghost comes on the radio, telling him to meet him at a nearby church. While Soap crafts makeshift weapons and tools and starts to sneak his way through the town, the two outnumbered allies engage in some surprisingly lighthearted dialogue.

Before this point, Ghost has barely spoken. This mission is the first time players really get an insight into Ghost's character, and his defensive exterior begins to get broken down by Soap's mischievous jabs. Throughout the mission, Soap and Ghost make light of their dire situation, teasing each other about various things. While Ghost remains a little cold and standoffish in tone, it's clear that he's warming to Soap, even making dark jokes about dead dogs. The two even take jabs at the other's nationality, with Soap mocking Ghost's desire for tea, and Ghost telling Soap to "speak English." By the end of the mission, Ghost is calling Soap "Johnny," cementing the fact that the two have become brothers in arms and true friends.
