Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Lead to drive enterprise data governance initiatives with a focus on data cataloging, metadata management, and governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of IT experience and demonstrate deep expertise in implementing and managing data governance tools and practices.
This is an onsite role based in Dallas, TX, and is best suited for a local candidate who can engage with cross-functional stakeholders and technical teams to define and operationalize enterprise data governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, requirement gathering, and implementation of enterprise data catalog solutions
- Oversee metadata management and data discovery automation across the organization
- Work collaboratively with business and technical teams to define data governance policies and enforce roles and responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and support regulatory data initiatives
- Provide thought leadership on data stewardship, classification, and lineage
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of data governance best practices, especially around ownership, stewardship, and accountability
- Extensive hands-on experience with data cataloging tools such as:
- Alation
- PKWare
- Manta
- Collibra
- Proven ability to define and implement enterprise metadata strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
