Description:
Candidates MUST have excellent Virtualization and Storage experience. Candidates MUST have previously done at least 1-2 Datacenter Relocation/Consolidation projects. Need to be experts in Datacenter environments.

Provide Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
system builds, initialization, troubleshooting. Develop Oracle RAC
initialization, shutdown, start up, and migration scripts. This work effort
is required to support the shut down, migration, and startup of Oracle database
version and RAC clusters to a new data center
6-12 years IT experience in a technical position.
6+ years experience as a DBA with two or more DBMS, including one core DBMS (DB2 or Oracle or SQL Server).
Extensive experience and strong knowledge of: database installations and upgrades, database backup and recovery methods and tools, capacity planning and trend analysis, performance and tuning, security practices and enforcement.
Experience with fault tolerant and high availability database architectures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels.
SAP or Oracle applications experience a plus.
Strong troubleshooting skills
Experience with Oracle database administration, database builds, maintenance and updates, troubleshooting, and database migrations. Experience with Oracle RAC systems, RAC builds, maintenance and updates, troubleshooting, and migration. Script development to facilitate Oracle database and RAC systems shutdown, start up, initiation and migration processes.
Ability to perform unsupervised troubleshooting in a time sensitive environment is key to success in this position.
