Saturday September 24th 4pm-6pm Panera Bread on University Ave - no theme/topic selected

There are no specific plans for the mid-September meeting just yet. We've had two of these so far, the first one we went to Shish Cafe for dinner, the second one we went to the Vilas Zoo in Madison. Both were enjoyable! If you have suggestions feel free to discuss them on the email list or at the meeting this Saturday. Some possibilities: another restaurant, Olbrich Botanical garden, kayaking on Wingra lake (rentals through wingraboats.com), Dane County Farmer's Market, visit a museum (i.e. one of the free art museums), additional suggestions welcome!!

Cxu vi kaj Meja povus atingi la lokon per buso? Se jes, eble vi povus kontroli kiam buso atingus la lokon kaj laux tio vi povus sugesti tempon por kunveni.

We will meet first at the Panera Bread on University Ave at 1pm to make sure everyone has a ride to this East Side excursion. Bring $1 per person to get into the tropical conservatory. Access to the outside gardens and the Thai pavilion are free. If there is interest we could get dessert afterwards at Monty's Blue Plate ( http://www.montysblueplatediner.com/ ).

I suggest Tenney Park, it has skate rental, a large new warming shelter, concessions, parking, AND it's tre bela! If you don't want to skate, you can sit on a bench and spectate, take a walk across the park's several bridges, or head a short block north to gaze across frozen Lake Mendota. Since this will be an outdoor event, we'll have to keep our eyes on the weather and possibly have an alternative date. If you're skating for the first time (Mi rigardas al vi, Stechjo), there are usually several "walkers"/frames to help you stay vertical while you're learning. If you have your own skates it's free. Saturday January 14th - Ekskurso/excursion - New Seoul Korean restaurant. We will meet at the restaurant at 5pm. The restaurant is walkable from the Panera bread on University, so we will NOT meet at Panera first. I'm no expert on Korean language but I'll try to have a little bit of information to share about it - their writing system is pretty cool! Bedaurinde mi ne certas cxu mi povas cxeesti la kunvenon. Estas ebleco, sed ne estas certo. Nun mi estas in Connecticut kaj la plano estas por mi esti en Madisono sabate cxirkaux la unua ptm, sed estas flugo kaj povus sxangxi. Se ve volas, mi povus kontakti vin per retposxto aux telefono sabate (se vi sendus al mi vian numeron)  kiam mi denove estas in Madisono.
