Saluton!
Beside the weekly lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Highbury, here is a list of Esperanto events in February you might be interested in.
February:
Tuesday 4th : Game night in Highbury
What ? Anna and Renato won’t be in London next week and, as the saying goes, when the cat is away… Instead of the lesson we will be playing games in groups of 3 or 4 people. If you have some games at home that you want to play, please bring them along with you as long as they involve some talking of course. The idea is to use Esperanto to play so no need to bring a chess board for example (unless you’re happy to comment your moves :p ). I’ll bring the Esperanto version of Taboo. It will be very informal and it won't matter if you forget the accusative (exceptionally!).
Where? Centre in Highbury*
Time? 6:30pm=>7:30
Saturday 8th: Coffee, cake and… Esperanto!
What? This popular monthly meeting is aimed at all Esperanto speakers, regardless of ability or experience. Don't think you need to already be able to hold a conversation to attend. Do come along, we can all practise and improve together.
Where? The Pantry Cafe & Kitchen in Reading Museum close to the main railway station.
Time? 11:30am=>1:30pm

Tuesday 11th : Talk by Marteno (to be confirmed)
What ? This is our monthly social gathering in Highbury exceptionally held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Instead of having the usual lesson, Marteno will talk to us about the Slovak language. This will be followed by a potluck where we will all bring some food to share between us. Everybody is welcome regardless of the group you’re in. Feel free to come just for the talk if you can’t stay the whole evening.

LOCAL ADDRESSES:
Center in Highbury: 89 Ronalds Road, London, N5 1XQ (Map)
Note that you need a code to open the gate so if you don’t know it, let us know in advance if you're planning on coming so that we can give it to you.
Diorama: Old Diorama Arts Centre, 201 Drummond Street, London, NW1 3FE (Map)
Ask at the reception where the Esperanto group is as we don’t always meet in the same room.
Note that talks at Diorama start on time (hint!) and usually last an hour but most people stay afterwards for a cup of coffee, tea, etc to chat in Esperanto. A great chance to speak with some very good Esperanto speakers.
