Bone kontakti tiajn retejojn (almenaŭ se oni ne forgesas mencii Esperanton!), sed Diano, ĉu vi kiel prezidanto de asocio ne havas pli urgxajn taskojn por fari kiel respondi al leteroj de membroj, informi pri la financoj de AEA, ktp?

 

Nu jen mia aldono al la retejo:

 

Even with very good methods learning a language is very time consuming. People should be encouraged to learn Esperanto which can be learnt in a reasonable amount of time. For most other languages even if you spend a very long time you still only get by and don't feel on an equal footing with native speakers.

Thank you Penny for posting the information about the free, on-line language teaching site, busuu.com 

By pressing on the English version of the last list of web sites it took me straight to the questionnaire.  https://www. surveymonkey. com/s/busuu_ language_ barometer_ 2012_english  I did this and added, where possible, information about Esperanto.  The very last question gives a good chance to talk in more depth about Esperanto which I intended to do.  Unfortunately I did not use the word "Esperanto" which was a bad error on my part.  This is what I did say, but after "international language" I should have added: "such as Esperanto".  If lots of Esperantists did this it might encourage busuu.com to offer Esperanto as one of their languages. 

What I wrote was:

"All people should have instruction in their own language, total schooling in their national language and the right to learn a clear and neutral international language from the earliest age that their country can provide. Also  economically advanced countries could achieve world understanding and cooperation if they strenuously supported the above aims for all countries".

I should have written:

"All people should have instruction in their own language, total schooling in their national language and the right to learn a clear and neutral international language, such as Esperanto" from the earliest age that their country can provide.  Also economically advanced countries could achieve world understanding and cooperation if they strenuously supported the above aims for all countries".

Kompreneble ne, sed respondi al demandoj devas esti parto de la posteno kaj
prezidanto povus trapasi almenaŭ unu horon semajne farante tion. Kaj kio pri
la financdirektoro, kion ŝi faris dum pli ol 6 monatoj, en tiu tempo ŝi
ŝajne eĉ ne unu foje prenis la tempon por informi la membrojn. Kaj ne
forgesu, ke AEA elspezis en 2-3 jaroj pli ol $30,000. Neniam antaŭe mi
pensas tiaj altaj sumoj estis elspezitaj kaj la estraro rifuzas respondi al
demandoj. Ekzemple ili ne hezitas elspezi $450 por hotelo en Sidnejo por
Penny, kiam eblas senpage tranokti en Esperanto domo. Ĉu vere tio estas la
plej bona maniero elspezi la monon de AEA? Baldaŭ ne plu restos mono. Ĉu AEA
ne ekzistas por subteni diversajn projektojn? Ĉu la nura celo de AEA nun
estas subteni Penny? Somerkursaroj ne plu gravas, riski $500 por
somerkursaro estis tute ne akcepteble de la estraro, sed riski $10,000 por
libro kiu eĉ ne estis bone provlegita estas por ili tute akceptebla. Nu, laŭ
mi estas gravaj problemoj, sed ja estas facile resti pasiva kaj silenti.

kvazaŭ vi scias ĉion, kion la estraro de AEA faras kaj ne faras? plue,
kial vi parolas pri tiuj aferoj ĉi tie??

kompreneble vi rajtas havi kaj diri vian opinion, sed verdire mi ne
povas kompreni, kial iu, kiu eĉ ne estas membro de AEA, parolas tiel
kvazaŭfakte kaj malamikece pri ĝi. eble mi ne komprenas ĉar mi estas
novulo en Aŭstralio kaj la AEA, sed ne gravas. ĉi tiu afero eĉ ne
rilatas al la originala temo pri busuu.com kaj fakte estas privata
afero, laŭ mi.
