SITUACIÓN DE LAS SANCIONES ANTIDUMPING

El 28 de junio pasado el Departamento de Comercio de los Estados Unidos (DOC) se expidió con las determinaciones preliminares de la primera revisión administrativa de las sanciones antidumping impuestas a la miel importada desde Argentina, Brasil, India y Vietnam.
Se trata de una determinación "preliminar", no definitiva, en discusión y revisión. La definitiva recién se promulgaría en noviembre.
Los demandantes estadounidenses, alarmados por los bajos aranceles solicitados para India, se han enfocado esta semana en pedir al DOC que envíe más cuestionarios a empresas indias por considerar que la información dada por éstas es insuficiente. También han pedido más tiempo para analizar la situación de Brasil en función de que el DOC, a pedido de la Corte de Comercio Internacional, modificó sustancialmente las sanciones a una empresa brasileña y ésto cambia todo el escenario para las pretensiones de los demandantes (ver el caso de Brasil AQUÍ en nuestro sitio web).
Por su parte, ante las sanciones a la miel de Argentina hasta los demandantes deben estar pasmados... La Asociación de Cooperativas Argentinas (ACA) presentó inmediatamente ante el DOC un memorándum en el que se mostraría un error en la forma del cálculo realizado (ver el estado de situación de la miel Argentina AQUÍ).

EL ÁCARO TROPILAELAPS AMENAZA EUROPA

Este ácaro de Apis dorsata, la abeja gigante asiática, está reportado en el sudeste asiático, el sur de Asia central, Kenia y ahora en el sudoeste de Rusia frente al Mar Negro (aquí, en nuestro sitio web, más información sobre el hallazgo y el preocupante contexto).

STATUS OF ANTI-DUMPING SANCTIONS

The United States Department of Commerce (DOC) concluded the First Administrative Review and issued its preliminary determinations about the antidumping sanctions imposed on honey imported from Argentina, Brazil, India and Vietnam last June 28th.
This is a "preliminary" determination, it is under discussion and review. The final determinations would be expected in November.
The petitioners of the sanctions, alarmed by the low tariffs imposed for India, have focused this week on asking the DOC to send more questionnaires to Indian companies because they consider that the information provided by them is insufficient. They have also asked for more time to analyze the situation in Brazil based on the fact that the DOC, at the request of the Court of International Trade, substantially modified the sanctions on a Brazilian company and this changes the entire scenario for their claims (see case of Brazil HERE on our website).
For their side, faced with the sanctions on Argentine honey, even the petitioners must be stunned... The Association of Argentine Cooperatives (ACA) sent a memo to the DOC showing what they said is an error in the calculation method of tariff ( see the status of Argentine honey top-14).
