EXPORTACION DE ABEJAS REINAS A URUGUAY

Por primera vez un Criador de Abejas Reinas de la Provincia de Entre Ríos exporta reinas para apicultores del Uruguay a través del Puente Internacional Salto Grande, a 100 km de su casa en la localidad de San Salvador. En medio de la visión de algunos en ámbitos académicos cercanos a Ribeirao Preto, muchos apicultores uruguayos y brasileños prefieren las razas europeas para sus apiarios. DUMPING: ESPERANDO A LA NUEVA ADMINOSTRACION

Las actividades del DOC en lo que hace a la Determinación Final de la Primera Revisión Administrativa se ralentizaron significativamente en la segunda mitad del año.
El 1 de julio de 2024 se publicó en el Registro Federal la Determinación Preliminar que para el caso de la miel de Argentina fue lapidaria. Una de las empresas no fue sancionada y la otra recibió un arancel superior al que hubiera recibido durante la investigación inicial si se hubiera retirado de la misma. 58,34% es lo que el DOC determinó en forma preliminar contra la miel de ACA en esta revisión, un 9% más de lo que recibieron en forma punitiva, por no querer colaborar con la investigación, las empresas Industrial Haedo y CIPSA en abril de 2022. Este nuevo arancel preliminar recae también sobre la miel de todas las demás empresas exportadoras de Argentina.
El 29 de agosto se publicó el memorándum de ACA señalando que el DOC tuvo errores de software en el cálculo del arancel (registrado en ACCESS bajo el barcode nº 4623044-01).
Luego el DOC hizo visitas para verificar la documentación en las oficinas de las empresas de Argentina. Tras lo cual no planteó ningún cambio.
Ya estábamos esperando la Determinación Final para el 12 de noviembre de 2024 cuando el 28 de octubre el DOC postergó la Determinación hasta la fecha límite del 8 de enero de 2025 y luego convocó a los interesados a su alegato final.
El 9 de diciembre pasado, ya con todas las presentaciones y refutaciones concluidas y un claro llamado de todas las partes para que el DOC revise los errores señalados en agosto... El DOC anuncia la postergación por 90 días de todas las Determinaciones Preliminares o Finales en curso, pasando ésta sobre mieles importadas al mes de abril cuando ya aparentemente todas las cartas estaban echadas.
Ahora, 16 meses después de haberse iniciado esta Revisión Administrativa, agotados todos los plazos procedimentales de la misma, el DOC anunció el pasado viernes 13 de diciembre que incorpora un nuevo indicador que eventualmente el DOC podría usar para el cálculo de costos de inventario de las empresas.  El DOC llamó a las partes, en forma extraordinaria, a presentar un único comentario. GENUINIDAD DE LA MIEL Y LIPIDOS PARA LAS ABEJAS

La edición 145 de la revista Espacio Apícola, revista argentina especializada en apicultura, está en distribución. Allí abordamos en primer lugar un compendio de trabajos de distintos centros de investigación en el mundo que señalan los requerimientos que tienen las abejas respecto a los lípidos. Así como hay aminoácidos esenciales, que determinara De Groot a mediados del siglo pasado, también hay ácidos grasos esenciales y otros lípidos como el colesterol que las abejas precisan ingerir en su dieta. Dada la carestía de recursos naturales particularmente donde se practica una agricultura intensiva, el trabajo avanza sobre qué aceites comerciales se pueden añadir, sus proporciones e incorporación en las tortas proteicas.
Por otra parte nos involucramos en la reciente problemática despertada por los apicultores profesionales de Europa en torno a la proliferación de mieles, presentes en las góndolas de muchos supermercados, adulteradas con azúcares de origen extraño a la miel. Este movimiento viene de la mano de la incursión de la metagenómica en el estudio de la genuinidad de los alimentos, en este caso aplicado a la miel. Por ser una nueva tecnología, desconocida para una gran mayoría, la presentamos y la acompañamos con la opinión de quienes defienden las actuales técnicas analíticas inicialmente cuestionadas por los apicultores por ser insuficientes. QUEEN BEES EXPORTS TO URUGUAY

For the first time, a Queen Bee Breeder from the Province of Entre Ríos exports queens to beekeepers in Uruguay through the Salto Grande International Bridge, 100 km far from his home in the town of San Salvador. DUMPING: WAITING FOR THE NEW ADMINISTRATION

The (Department of Commerce) DOC's activities regarding the Final Determination of the First Administrative Review slowed down significantly in the second half of the year.
The Preliminary Determination, which in the case of honey from Argentina was lapidary, was published in the Federal Register on July 1, 2024. One of the companies was not sanctioned and the other received a higher tariff than it would have received during the initial investigation if it had withdrawn the investigation. 58.34% is what the DOC's Preliminarily Determined fixed against imported honey from ACA in this review, 9% more than what the Industrial Haedo and CIPSA companies received as a penalty because they withdrew the original investigation in April 2022. This new preliminary tariff falls on honey from all other Argentine exporting companies.
ACA showed that the DOC had software language errors estimating the tariff by a memorandum on August 29 (registered in ACCESS under barcode number 4623044-01).
The DOC then made visits to verify the documentation at the offices of the companies in Argentina. After which it did not propose any changes.
We were already expecting the Final Determination for November 12, 2024 when on October 28 the DOC postponed the Determination until the deadline of January 8, 2025 and then called the interested parties to their final argument.
On December 9, with all the presentations and rebuttals already concluded and a clear call from all parties for the DOC to review the errors pointed out in August... The DOC announced the postponement for 90 days of all the Preliminary or Final Determinations in progress, moving this one on imported honey to the month of April when apparently all the cards had already been dealt.
When all the procedural deadlines had been exhausted after 16 months from the beginning of the investigation, the DOC announced that it incorporated a new indicator that they could eventually use to calculate the inventory costs of companies last Friday, December 13.The DOC called the stakeholders in an extraordinary manner to write a single comment. GENUINENESS OF HONEY AND LIPIDS FOR BEES

The 145th edition of Espacio Apícola magazine, an Argentine Beekeepers' magazine, is in distribution. In it we first address a compendium of works, from different research centers in the world, that point out the requirements that bees have regarding lipids. Just as there are essential amino acids, which De Groot determined in the middle of the last century, there are also essential fatty acids and other lipids such as cholesterol that bees need to ingest in their diet. Given the scarcity of natural resources, particularly where intensive agriculture is practiced, the work advances on which commercial oils can be added, their proportions and its incorporation into protein cakes.
On the other hand, we get involved in the recent problem raised by professional beekeepers in Europe around the proliferation of honey, present on the shelves of many supermarkets, adulterated with sugars of foreign origin to honey. This movement comes hand in hand with the incursion of metagenomics in the study of the authenticity of food, in this case applied to honey. As it is a new technology, unknown to a large majority, we present it and accompany it with the opinion of those who defend the current analytical techniques initially questioned by beekeepers for being insufficient.
