Started and never got too far. Life's been busy, but hate to see this
one die. We put a helluva lot of work into it.
How's life treating you?

Wondering if it wouldn't hurt to breath new life into the project.
I've been messing around with CakePHP and may code a replacement to
PmWiki. That will allow greater source control and we might could add
more users.
Last Winter and Spring, I played a game "Astro Empires," where I wrote
a few articles. The Espace website nets about 600 unique hits a week.
Since that's a Sci Fi game, maybe that could help draw in a few new
"Scholars." Thoughts?

At the moment, I couldn't put in nearly the kind of time I had
available when we were working on this before. It would be nice to
get it back up and running and work on it some more. I do think that
the Imperium edition needs some work.
As well, we never really did bash out any kinds of rules, which I
think John was the most interested in (and me the least, I hate
mechanics).
What's your idea?

I finished the draft of the print Terradoma and am about to do the
editing. The final work is presently 253 pages with title page, table
of contents, some milieu information and indexes. The draft is 337
pages (double spaced, etc.). By comparison, the Fudge 10th Anni is 320
pages. I figured I'd do an official announcement later, but I'm
getting close.
Hopefully I can get the edit done in October and go to print
afterwards. I'm using Lulu press and plan on splitting the net profits
with y'all 2:1:1--a bit more for me as I put many hours into the final
print version. I originally converted the wiki to LaTeX a couple years
back, but never got the time to edit because of law school and
starting a new job. I started plotting a novel and hit a rough spot
and decided to finish this work to help me regain momentum.
That said, since we never agreed on rules, I chose to mention Fudge in
the manuscript but not create much by way of rules. If we can agree on
a set of rules to go forward with, I'm amenable to add them in. I set
the focus more on a shared universe for authors. I do not want to
include d20 rules as Hasbro decided to not extend the OGL license to
the new edition. This was what I warned back in 2004---that they would
build an audience through OGL then retract later.
I did include the planetary description that is on the wiki. I also
added something on star ships, based on the online game "Astro
Empires." (http://espacesociety.org/SpaceTravel/ShipTypes) I played it
last year and managed to generate some site traffic. I used attributes
from that game (with some change) because I thought they had it sorted
out well. The game is rock-paper-scissors rather than random, which is
similar to how Fudge can turn out based on Trait levels.
