Modernizing my deployment

I have had ESOS running in my homelab for several years now.

The version I have is ancient as a result - It just works!

I'm at version 1.3.10....

The only off-label thing I'm doing is I compiled in zfs support - my volumes are all zfs.  That might work out of the box now a bit better than it did back when 1.3.10 was current.

My question is - how do I get this ancient version of ESOS to a more modern version?  Can I still just install the app on a new USB thumb drive and copy over the config files and reboot, or is there more that needs to be done given the large version gap?
